Depending on what team Milan play would really depend on how Celtic should play..If we're gonna play Maldini, Cafu and what other stupidly old people we have. It'd be best to really go for goal in the last half hour as they'll be tiring.
Jankulovski is a LM yea, but he's just as strong defensively as he is offensively, stunning shot on him.
Inzaghi will probably be fit for the first leg but not start.
I just hope Seedorf is not picked and we play Gourcuff..What do Celtic's defense have the biggest problem playing against, pace?
Next week VS Siena, a team that's known for shutting us out you'll be able to see Milan at there normal selfs.. Pirlo playing like he's drunk, Seedorf staying in the exact same spot throughout the whole game..
One thing i've gotta say...Seedorf's been booed off the pitch last match..And when Seedorf's at his best, he's the best midfielder in he world..Shame these performances come 4 or 5 times a season.

    MILK WAS A BAD CHOICE..
Gila, on Maldini, I know he played his 800th game in all competitions for Milan there last autumn..

..what is the situation with him now, and how regularly does he play? I hear he may see out his original 2008 contract now.

Would be awesome for him to have played 1000 games for Milan! (though would need to stay till 2009, playing all the time!)

    Hail, Hail :celt_2:

I would agree if it were not for our utter crapness away from how. I think we need to go for it, not concede and score two to have a chance.

He's going to wait untiil the end of the season to see if his knees hold up and what his perosnal fitness is like..If everything is good, he'll stay on till next summer. He's in full fitness although he can't keep up with the young ones any more, he's still a world class centre back. Got the pace of a 34 year old i'd say..At 38.
He features regularly still, i don't think he earns a spot in the team on ability alone any more. But because he's such an inspirational person on the pitch..he still plays whenever possible..unless our whole defence is fit in which case he's on the bench.

I've never seen a player * it more than McGeady did against
the Copenhagen goalie in the away tie.
    .:87::87:

If he ( McGeady ) had the balls to go for that 50-50 ball,... the Copenhagen goalie would probably have been forced to bring him down outside the box,.... which would have been a straight red card...and would have reduced Copenhagen to 10 men ...:87::87:

  9. Can't * wait for this game! Think we should stick to the 4-4-2 and have a real go from the 1st whistle, get the parkhead faithful makin' an affy din and put the frighteners up them. Don't let them settle.

Riordan is far too lightweight to play. Even McGeady is tougher and adds more depth. We might need all our tough players. Just like WGS did against MAn U at home.

    I disagree..
Riordan has shown determination and true grit in his last few games, and is running into form at just the right time..:50:

For my money, Mc Geady is too lightweight and inconsistent for what I also believe will be a rough house against the Italians,... and anyone who remembers how McGeady shat it,.... in that 50--50 situation with the Copenhagen goalie,.... would not want him in against the likes of Gattuso and Co..:87: :87::87:

I agree McGeady is lightweight. But so is Riordan and I would be scared of him facing the likes of Gattuso and Co. too. I also don't want to fill the midfield up with Jarosik, Graveson, Lennon, Sno and Nakmura leaving big Jan up front. But I have a feeling WGS will go for the strong full mid section. I think McGeady deserves a second crack at the whip though.

I am certain WGS will play a five man midfield of Sno, Lennon, Graveson, Nakamura and Riordan.....4-5-1 Formation..:celt_2:...with Big Jan up front...and Deeks tucked in just behind him..

Miller and McGeady could be brought on in the second half, to run the legs off the ageing Milan defence..:50:

I can't help thinking that dirty little Hun Gattuso is going
to cause mayhem n the first leg..:87:
