Very good young player but is still learning and compared to his first games with Elvis, he has looked shakey with Mick for some reason. We may have to play Darren but if Gary was fit and got at least one game in first, I think we have to go with him.

I believe Caldwell is playing a reserve game tomorrow night..

I would rather have Caldwell for his experience alone..:50:

Apart from the away Benfica game, he has not put a foot wrong all season, and is one of the reasons, why we are 19 points ahead in the League..:celt_2:

Agreed Dea has looked shakey alongside MacManus

    aaaaarrrggghhhhhh

I've been trying to avoid thinking about the game, now Gila posts the fecking team: Kaka, Pirlo, Cafu, Seedorf & Gilardino. OK so Cafu & Seedorf are getting on a bit, but that's a bit of quality.

Is Inzaghi injured? I hope he is cos the wee * always * scores in big games.

The more I think about the game, the more I think that we really need to go for them right from the off, get the fans into it & test the endurance of the Oldies (where's Maldini?).
For this reason, I'd start with Miller - he would put the * up Maldini & Co with his headless chicken 100 miles an hour for 90 minutes routine. He always gets chances in CL games, but Copenhagen away shows that chances don't mean prizes.
For prizes your talking Riorden, his finishing is excellent - I'd get Riorden & Miller up to Roslyn Institute with the Dolly the Sheep boffins, to morph them both into one super striker to rival Kaka..either that or play them both, but WGS won't do that.

The only question I believe that remains is....either Riordan or McGeady
    coming in from the left..

I believe Riordan shades it for his deadly finishing, and his calmness under pressure..:56::56::56:

For *'s sake no Miller...His confidence is rock bottom...:87:

who cares about gilardino and kaka. we have jvoh and mcgeady:50:
btw i think milans weakness will be at their left back position. i think jankulovski is a natural midfielder and he is just playing their because milan have no natural left back. hopefully wgs will notice this and nakamura too:50:

We should play miller from the off and get them tired. Take him off and bring on mcgeady to run at them since theyll be nakered and move riordan up front with jvoh

That's right * Kaka & Co, lets just go for the jugular. Attack them down the wings, with Wilson & Naylor bombing forward ahead of McGeady & Naka who have a box of tricks, plus the ability to cut in & shoot or play the pass - Milan's defence won't know what'* them, at least we should get some freekicks from this type of play (especially at home).

Our Defence must be spot on though, Lenny will play & sit back, we need Graveson to play his best game in a Celtic shirt if we are to win by more than 1 goal.

Attack is the best policy WGS, I just hope that you go for it.

PS. I've totally changed my mind, I wanted to play it tight, but with Milan's recent hassles regarding the match & their apparant thinking on not bringing away fans, plus their poor form - I think they are a bit rattled & if we go for them at home, we could do some damage.

PPS. I know this could bite us on the * too, don't be surprised id I'm on here next week saying we should play 5-5-0 !!!:31: :31:

Wouldn't do that. if one part of the def chain ain't fully fit, he won't be after only 1-2 "real" games played after such a long injury, it needs to be replaced, except that part is either worldclass or the main leader.

match practice is very important for a central def duo, the better their teamwork is, the better the whole def works. I'd give O'Dea that chance, because I think he has earned it with his performances.

We could well get our * felt by Milan if we go all out...:87:

Look what happened in the first half against Man United
at home...we got mauled....until the Wee Ginger Magician changed it
to a five man midfield in the second half,,,:50:

im telling you guys....come back and remind me if i get this way wrong...
jvoh and beattie up front will cause that milan defence all sorts of problems and with balls swinging into the box from the channels im telling you if we can keep it tight at the back with lenny holding we will get a result home and away!!
ffs all those class names were up against are only as good as thier next match as thier season has been a complete washout!!
reputations count for * all if you dont perform as many many a player have found out, this mob huffed and puffed against a team that the huns beat!:50:

Don't be fooled by their poor performance against Livorno...:87:

Milan will come out the starting blocks against us all guns firing..

Gung Ho against a team of their quality is asking for a spanking I believe..:87::87:

Are you seriously trying to suggest we went all out against ManUre at home (at all, never mind the 1st half).

Sno shat himself & had to be taken off at half time, to be replaced by Jarosik who fell over to get the Naka freekick.
The 4-4-2 didn't work because Magic was the 2nd striker to JVoH & he's * this season.

The formation is down to the players, WGS changed the players at half time, this had more impact than changing the formation as Sno & Magic were so * poor in the 1st half.

We got * lucky against ManUre, tactics are all very well, but you really make your own luck. I'd love to see Celtic go for Milan at home from the off, we never did that against ManUre.

My Gut Feeling is it will be suicidal to go Gung Ho against Milan in the first leg..

As I have said often on this Forum before...I will settle for a 0-0 draw at home...with no vital away goals conceded..:celt_2::celt_2::celt_2:

0-0 would give us a fighting chance wherever the second leg is played, and put the Italians in a real quandary,... in how to approach the second leg :56::56:
