    Well said!

Its something that gets overlooked in Wilsons game he has some real pace.I remeMber watching him against sproule and he had him in his pocket, thats when he was playing left-back.He will be a welcome addition back,he is gonna be top drawer in a season or two

O'dea's too young to be thrown into the biggest game of the season.

    .................Boruc
    Wilson-McManus-O'Dea-Naylor
    .................Lennon
    Nakamura-Graveson-McGeady
    ..............VOH-Beattie

This team is the one that can beat Milan.
O'Dea's youthful hunger will be an asset and to be honest, who is going to replace him? Balde?

Caldwell can gtf, we have been doing well without him. Put O'Dea in there, he can * us a goal.

I fancy Celtic to beat them 3 or 4 nil at celtic park. I believe they will come here and look for a draw to take back to the san siro. Benfica came here looking for a draw and look what happened. I think we will be fast out the blocks, first to every ball and snapping at their heals.

We struggle to beat Hibernian at home. Livorno would probably beat Hibs over two legs, what does that say? * all really

AC Milan do step it up for european matches so I wouldnt compare league form too much. Any team is beatable though. GS just needs to get his homework right on them.

I believe the most disappointing results at Parkhead always come when we are lulled into thinking we aren't really the underdogs. The complacency amongst the fans seems to translate on to the pitch and, hey presto, one of our greatest trump cards is gone. Off the top of me head I'll give the Boavista match as an example.

We should be playing Milan with hope, but not expectancy or complacency as, yes, they are not the force they once were, but thier parts are still far superior to our parts. On the open market Kaka would be worth more than our entire first 11!

We revel in being more than a sum of our our parts, so lets not * that away by going to Parkhead, putting our feet up, keeping our mouths closed and munching on a pie whilst we wait for Milan to roll over. I sensed that very thing against Boavista, I would hate to see it happen again!

Ps: Liverpool went on thier run to the final up aginst the odds in each round, with the team and the fans always the underdog, which brought that spirit out, that's always where where we should be aiming!

    Mon da Hoops!!!!!!!!!

That's a good line up in most games...however I sense WGS will be more cautious..and go for 4-5-1

    Boruc

    Wilson McManus Dea Naylor

    Sno Lennon Graveson Nakamura McGeady

I think if we get completely hammered by Milan then i will accept that we got hammered by Milan but if we take it close then blow it in the las quater in san siro then i will be hugeley dissapointed

Some ghuys on here are thinkin along the lines of (if we play 4-5-1) starting Miller more as a wide player or midfielder.

I wouldn't be agianst the idea. We always have a subs bench if it aint lookin good.

Might be an idea, as he certainly aint no Lineker, but can offer plenty good assists, it seems, not to mention the qualities we all know he does possess.

Still worried yet about Sno in these types of matches. He was truly, truly awful in the first half against Man U, completely overawed and phased by the whole occasion.

I think we should realise that a key feature of wgs plans are to play mainly Naka on the right with McGeady on the left, enabling them to come inside on thier stronger feet for creation and/or shooting. They are certainly not gonna hit he byline much.

This is where we should all understand the vital roles that Naylor and Telfer have been playing (yes, Telfer has been vital!.. he's Naka's liscence to kill!) in offering a wide threat, and should similarly understand the roles that Lennon and Gravesen and/or Sno must play in covering the overlapping fullbacks.

This is where I always worry about Gravesens mental stability and Sno's naiivety compromising our game plans.

Photoshop him into a straight jacket and he could easily be mistaken for something out of "One flew over the Cuckoos nest!"

    Waydago!
O'Dea is the man to partner Mick in defence.
He's no dummy and will keep it tight at the back and as you say, he can nick the odd goal and not just from set pieces.
