You don't hear them at home games, which is as close to an accurate portrayal of what the majority think as you will get.

apart from a handful of games last season, you don't usually hear celtic park 'rocking' alot recently. other than the green brigade who do sing rebel songs.

Had it not been for the Green Brigade, Parkhead would be like a morgue on Saturdays.

Do you go to the games? You do hear them at home games... In fact a popular choice is The Celtic Symphony where they chant "Up the Ra!"

Only a few year ago the songs were belted out at home games but because the media and police have portraited this as sectarian a lot of supporters might feel scared to sing at parkhead for fear of an unsectarian song being branded sectarian and losing there season ticket which is appalling

Obviously you are as inept at reading as you are at making sensible and thoughtful posts.

Have you been to a Celtic game Selbyboy? Why are you so bitter to the support of our club and it's history? In fairness a song of rebellion is what makes our club so close and I am struggling to understand why you are so offended by this?

Maybe you'll notice it is only the Green Brigade who sing the Up The Ra part.

I didn't realise you had asked every single person who doesn't sing rebel songs or ra chants and they all told you the same thing, that they thought they were sectarian? My apologies then since you've clearly done the research. I suppose it must be fine to sing whatever you want since the only reason people give for not singing it is that it's sectarian and that's incorrect, so no problem here.

Why should what songs I sing concern you?

What does an 80s chart song or almost any chant have to do with football though? Look at Italian football etc the support often just chant noises and bang drums, that has nothing to do with football... Does that offend you?

celtic's most vocal support is it's away support. i can't tell if everyone at celtic park supports rebel singing, no one can, but i can do the next best thing which is look at the away support, which ulimately expresses support for these songs.

    Really?

I'll ask this to you....do you actually go to games, and can you hear what every person in the stadium is singing to notice that?

If it's incorrect then why has the release of banned songs been refused? Why have these songs, commonly classed as sectarian now been downgraded to being deemed simply as 'offensive'?

I'm basing it on the fact I have had a season ticket for years and almost all of parkhead used to sing it until the media focussed bad attention on it. And also on the fact that I know hundreds of Celtic supporters, have been on countless supporter buses and in countless supporter clubs, an heard a huge majority chanting them on the way to the ground before games. So hmmm I guess they must just be doing it out of sarcasm.

There's been a bit of flaming going on in this thread.

My advice to anyone posting in here is to respect others points of view and attack the post, not the poster.

If you're not capable of debating the subject in an * manner, don't post...simple as that.
