    The only way this is happening is if Kyogo is off and no one else wants Edouard. We won’t be able to match wages so Palace would need to accept a loan and probably take a chunky fee for it.

    The only thing I can think that might tempt Edouard is the chance to play CL football, he was desperate to do it with us last time but we kept failing to qualify.

    It wasn't eddy that cost us 10 in a row. Was lennon and lawwell.

    We promised him a move if he stayed 1 more season in 2019-20 and we then renaged on the promise. Same with jullien and Ajer.

    He's a big downgrade on Kyogo for me and his attitude is the polar opposite too, the wee man is infectious which shouldn't be discounted.

    His last season may have poisoned some views on him. I love Kyogo but I’ve always stood by the opinion that Eddy is the most complete striker we have had since Larsson.

    If he’s available, he’s affordable and he WANTS to be here, it’s an absolute no brainer.

    Now normally I hate loan deals with no option to buy, and I also usually hate bringing players back, but bringing him in on a season long loan while Kyogo got his shoulder sorted I'd be ok with.

    I somehow doubt that's what would happen though.

    Would take him back in a heartbeat.

    I'm always pretty astonished at the number of fans who seem to hate him and blame him for not only losing 10 but causing the entire COVID pandemic. Guy scored 87 goals in about 170 odd games for us.

    It wouldn't happen unless Kyogo left though.

    He peaked with us in 2019, 5 years is a long time in football. Palace fans are happy to get shot of him, his workrate is terrible and often misses sitters. Don't think he'd be anywhere near as good as the first time.
