I couldnt agree more mate. I would also add alot more names to that list.

I more or less said the same thing in a post last night, I said most players are crap and Celtic are crap against the best in Europe, We cant compete as the gulf is too wide. I was shot down in flames and nailed to the wall.

Apparently when you voice an opinion like this, you are not a true celt or your a closet hun or a walloper ect just for stating the truth about our team.

Celtic are a big club in a wee country with a crap average league. We cant compete in Europe financially or physically with the best.

Just because we look a bit ordinary against Arsenal doesn't mean we're hopeless. FFS. We're a good team, we're just not a great team. Most teams AREN'T great.

Agree with you on Donati. I keep saying in various threads that i don't think he's good enough for Celtic. Too slow and too scared to put a tackle in. Needs to much time on the ball and you don't get that against teams like Arsenal.

ok.alot of this and that on here but reality is during the 90 mins at home we had one shot on target.def not good enough imo.you have to make your home games in europe count to stand a chance.we can go on till we,re blue in the face about our defence but goals win games dont they?

Markybhoy, we look ordinary against 90 percent of all European opponients, not just against the Gunners. We are a great team in the Scottish League, but in Europe year in year out we fail, again the gulf is too wide.

Caldwell was very unlucky, look at galas.. it could have easily happened to him.

Defensively. It was very good. Spot on infact and the back line can be very proud of there efforts.

Further up the pitch. Not so good. When Celtic got the ball in Arsenal's final third, we seemed clueless as to what to do with it. Only McGeady looked to run at Arsenal and caused a few problems. Far too narrow at times. Said at half time that there's only McGeady who looks anywhere near the same standard as the Arsenal players.

The two goals were lucky, but Arsenal deserved the win - played far the better football and had alot more idea's and vision to create. Some of their passing was superb. There's a big difference in class - which is why it's hard to criticise.

Ok first things first.I am disappointed that we lost last night but losing to a tecnically superior team who probably spend more on wages in a week then what we spend on new players in a year is nothing to get all worked up about.

I dont agree Caldwell should be dropped altogether but i do believe a stint in the reserves would give him the kick up the * he needs. His passing is poor at times but i would say his main problem is concentration and reaction response time. All these can be worked on so don’t come on saying he’s * when there is a good player there.

We can all debate who’s crap and who’s not but rather than do that get behind the team and be that “12th man” that we all keep hearing about.Slating players as soon as they make a slipup is hardly gonna boost their confidence.

Im wont sit and go through the team and say what players need dropped etc.Having said that though the big problem that we have as a team at the moment is communication issues. From defence to up front the lack of communication is clear to see at any game. In defence you have Caldwell shouting the odds but i have noticed a few times loovens appears to go in a huff when anything is said to him.Caldwell also seems to get irate at everyone else around him even when its his mistake. The one player in defence that looks the real deal is Fox.He doesn’t look a complete player yet but he appears so far to be a great signing.
Midfield seems to be the better section at the moment.Whoever said Mcgeady and Maloney couldn’t play in the same team we’re a bit far off. Donati looks ok imo.He has memory lapses sometimes but for the SPL at least i think he will play an important part in the team. Not sure about in Europe. He was poor last night but we are limited in who we could get to replace that midfield spot. One player i have been really impressed with is Nguemo. Id be happy to pay double the 1.5 apparent fee if thats the kinda player we could get.Again he don’t look a complete player but if he starts getting forward more then i think he could be the best signing in years.
Now upfront it seems our biggest communication problem. Skippy as much as i like the wee fella is starting to annoy me slightly.Does he ever stop moaning?!.If he stopped moaning so much then maybe communication would be better. He just doesn’t seem to be able to set up a good striking partnership with either Sammy or Fortune for that reason. I imagine Fortune was bought as a productive Sutton type of player. If he stops dropping so wide and communication gets better between him and Skippy then i think it would work out well. They just don’t appear to know what each other is doing.
Thats my thoughts anyway.Get behind the team lads. All the problems can be worked on.We need to quit slating and let the new management do their job and bring the best out of the team. Hail Hail
