    Norwegian striker Erik Huseklepp has held talks with his club and is likely to be allowed to move to Scotland.

    Celtic could seal the transfer of Norwegian international forward Erik Huseklepp within the next 24 hours. The Brann player has resolved a dispute with his club and an agreement to allow him to move to Parkhead is close to completion.
    Representatives from Brann travelled to Glasgow this week to negotiate a fee for the player but returned to Norway on Thursday with no sale being agreed. Now, the two clubs are thought to be close to agreeing terms, allowing Huseklepp to join the Hoops.
    The failure to conclude a deal led to a breakdown in relations between the player and his employers. Huseklepp believed that a gentleman’s agreement was in place to allow him to move abroad if a bid of £1 million was received but Brann said that only applied last summer.
    A further possible complication was the fact that half of Huseklepp’s contract is owned by investment company Hardball. The investors have no objection to the sale though, and will take 50% of any fee received.
    After consultation, we agreed that Eric should go for the market price,” Hardball CEO Eivind Kåre Lunde to told TV2.”What that would be is not for us to speculate on. That’s a total for Brann to agree on.”
    The player and his agent met with Brann today and resolved their differences, paving the way for Celtic to get their man.
    The Parkhead club had offered £1 million but Brann were holding out for between £1.2 and £1.5 million for their prized asset. An agreement is expected to be struck in a matter of hours over the fee, allowing Huseklepp to discuss terms with Celtic, who he is keen to join.
    The 26-year old striker scored 10 goals for Brann last season and has three international goals, against France, Portugal and Ireland, in Norway’s last six matches.

    Recent form has seen the player attract the interest of a number of clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Blackburn and Newcastle United but Celtic now appear to have all but sealed the deal to make him the latest addition to Neil Lennon’s squad.

    hope this one goes through and hope he is as good as being built up to be.its funny how we all get excited about flair players and goalscorers like hooper and the norwegan.we cant forget that we really need to shift a couple of defenders and sign a good cb

    I am dying for this to go through for a multitude of reason. He looks class, and will add a different dimension to the side. He can score goals as well as being a creator and we desperately need a creator other than Paddy. A big reason is I really dont want little Willie..and his name is Hunskelper :celt_2:

    Yeah, think will turn out to be a bargin. We've got Wilson on a pre-contact, but would like to see a decent one come in on loan. I don't see the desperation for a RB Mark Wilson is a decent one and Cha will be back soon

    The only person you dont diss is the king apart from that everyone else is fair game espescially keane who only came up for a tour of scotland on his holidays cause sitting on the bench at tottenham was boring
