Non Monumental Moments Why You Loved a Player

Maeda when he went on that run against the huns and got chopped down. Could have just booted the ball away or something as we were 4 up and it was the 89th minute but the guy went about things like we were desperately chasing a last minute equaliser.

We've had players who've put in outstanding shifts over the years but this guy is something else. Can't help but love him for it.

 

Chris Sutton's first ever game, away at Tannadice.....I was sitting in the stands snorting at how much money we had forked out for a cart-horse, has-been striker.....ball going wide for a nothing shy and Sutton (in his not so dynamic way) goes haring after it, slides along the grass to keep it in and move forward.....changed my opinion there and then.....(well that and a further 5/6 years as a Hun-skelper)

 

Best atmosphere i have ever heared in that game. The ground was shaking and the cameras bouncing for the whole game. * crazy

 

There was a moment a few years ago. Can't remember but it was a game against them. At mordor. We've just scored to go 1-0 up. Rangers defender plays a pass into the middle of the park, slightly ahead of the hun midfielder and Paul Hartley sprints and absolutely boots the ball off the hun. It flies out the park and into the stand. All the celtic fans are going mental and wee Hartley just turns round to them all and gives them a fist pump and a face like "this is our * city".... Incredible.

Always enjoyed Ajer celebrating a tackle in Europe or against the huns.

A favourite will always be Izzy stepping up to take the pen when on a hattrick and smashing it miles over the bar

First game vs the huns I've been to, big marc wilson rattling the ball off papac's dome injuring the * then scoring the rebound

 

Efe’s somersaults after even the most basic of goals. Loved the big stoater’s joyousness.

 

Had a wee look back and can't see it mentioned surprisingly but Jozo's tackle on Miller and his header on the 67th minute right after Billy McNeills death.

Can't quite remember the game but Paul Elliot being stretchered off after a really bad tackle on him at home. Looked really bad but then somehow he got off the stretcher as soon as it made it to the side of the pitch and came back on. Man was a poet warrior.

Bobo for scaring the * out of every opposition player and the crowds pantomime singing of "Bobos going to get you" at every opportunity.

Coyne passing the ball to Cascarino when he could have scored himself. And loved his wee fist bumps after scoring.

Cascarino almost missing it and then clashing with Levein and getting sent off. Was in the Jungle that day and it was mental when he scored.

That time Hinkel threw the ball behind him and hit Steven Pressley in the face and they both had a joke about it. Anyone have that clip?

 

Charlie Nicholas (when we still loved him), one of his first games for us V the scum, Charlie gets the ball from a throw in in midfield, Charlie just seems to drift past hun players until he's about 25 yards out and belts one into the top corner, I can still picture huns goalie flapping like a bird trying to get near it. Charlie whit the * happened to you that you talk such pish about our club now, shame on you.

 

Broony Vs Aberdeen,those 3 tackles flying in....He loved it.

Cant mind the player but vs the Huns in the final...Jumped onto the Advertising boards and balanced,taking the *.

 

Wilson's first strike didn't injure Papac, it knocked the * out. First and only time I've seen a ball struck so hard it knocked a defender out. Papac might have been able to clear the rebound too if he wasn't on the deck.

 

Wee Daillys stupid greeting face when he gets up and over at the ref is glorious. Always hated the junkie looking wee tramp.

 

I now have a memory of Samaras being a funny * in multiple derbies.

Teasing Ferguson with the ball in the face, pointing at the score board when someone was moaning at him, I think I also recall him jumping into the hun end to retrieve a ball for a throw in.

As soon as the final whistle blew in the 2017 Scottish Cup final, when we secured the Invincible Treble, Broony and Lustig going absolutely mental celebrating right in front of Derek McInnes.
