“Most people” is a stretch.

There is obviously discussion about players whenever there is some form of link. If it comes from some * on KDS, you take it with a pinch of salt and discuss the actual player, like you would with any other link.

I find it strange people want to come on the ‘non media rumours’ part of the thread and get * off we are discussing a player being linked from KDS or Twitter.

It’s literally what it’s here for.

Think some of the English teams need a clear out due to how big their teams are and FFP.

 

I'm not saying you can't come on and say it's pish. You're doing it every time another player gets linked though. We have the same stuff from the same people on this particular part of the forum.

Again, you're overexaggerating how much people actually believe ITKs to suit your argument. Most of us aren't hanging off peoples every word. We are just discussing a link to a player, regardless of the source. 99% of all links, media and non media is pish. You don't have to say it every single time.

 

Amazing how fast * are happy to believe someone on a football site over an actual journalist who’s got sources inside the club.

Who's believing * on KDS over journalists? You're just creating an argument to a point that literally no one is making.

Why you're linking the two, I have no idea? Has a journalist come out and said we are specifically not interested in Podence and Thomas? If that's the case, fair enough but the two aren't mutually exclusive.

You can discuss ALL transfer rumours or you can discuss the transfer rumours that come from specific sources. That's the beauty of this site over KDS. Everything is separate. THIS part of the forum is non media transfer rumours. It's like going onto the hun thread and complaining about posters talking about them. It's there to be talked about, use it or don't use it.

Probably because KDS has previous of actual ITK'ers and Anthony Joseph has never broke a story.. always a week behind.

Nobody in this thread is saying "Podence linked on KDS? He must be signing"

The reaction is people excited by the potential of him signing and discussing the merits of if its possible.

But they don't take the word of a random * on the internet as gospel. That's a complete myth. We just talk about a link to a player, regardless of where it comes from. From certain guys? Yeah. I openly admit that when The Republican posts something, I get excited and take notice. He's said 3 things this window and has been right every single time. And he got everything right last season too.

Prime example, Scott Burns, a respected journalist in his own right, tweets to a fan that we aren't looking for a goalkeeper.

A day later? Stephen McGowan says on a podcast that he would be very surprised if we don't sign a goalkeeper this window. Two well respected journalists, contradicting each other. Who do you believe? If Scott Burns is wrong and we sign a goalkeeper should we ignore absolutely everything he says from now on?

Go to the world stage. Sky Sports reporting that Kane was closer to staying at Spurs instead of signing for Bayern. Ange comes out and basically kills that. That wasn't the case at all. He has always wanted to go if the offer was accepted. Made it clear in his first meeting with Ange.

I'd also say, I don't think Anthony Joseph talks pish. He's just so far behind with the news. Case and Point with Lagerbielke. The Swedish Media had already leaked that we were closing in on a deal and he puts it up 2 days later. Don't think anyone is suggesting he talks pish. He's just slow to break stories.

 

Social media has spoiled the surprise when a player is linked.

I'd agree with you there. Unfortunately, people know people.

I'm friends with a pro footballer who's in the Scotland squad and the amount of pish that gets printed about him, it's hilarious.
