Mariusz Lewandowski of Shaktar is wanting to move from Shaktar.
I remember we were interested in this guy last year. He is built like a stonewall and is a Polish Internationalist. Think he could do us a turn.
Maybe Boruc will have a quiet word in his ear for us :icon_mrgreen:

Give Me A Ring : Polish Ace Mariusz Lewandowski keen on hoops switch
Mariusz is Still Keen On Bhoys
POLISH hardman Mariusz Lewandowski is looking for a move away from Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk and would welcome fresh interest from Celtic.
The Parkhead outfit looked at the 29-year old Defensive Midfielder last summer and Polish sources insist they could be back in the hunt after he announced he is going to leave Shakhtar in January after more than seven years there.
However Celtic would still need to raise £2.5m or so to move for Lewandowski, who can play also play at Centre Back.
Lewandowski has also been linked with Wigan Said " My agents are working on a transfer at the moment and i want to move after so long here at Shakhtar.

Brandao would be a better option
at 28 just about at his peak now.
68 goals in 128 games for Shaktar.
Looked good when i saw him play against us in CLLast edited by a moderator: Jan 2, 2009 -
cant see this happening at all.
-
he's a centre back not a midfielder ? .. am pretty sure of it
-
love to see him with us,he aint bad

i prefer Lewandowski as a center back than a defensive mid. has one * of a rocket on him as well if i remember correctly.
definite center back for competition, a maybe as a hardman anchor midfielder.
never been keen on Brandao. he only ever seemed to score against us in the CL and i think if we want to make progress with the team then we should have better options than him as i don't think he is as good as Skippy, JVoH or Samaras. -
wont be happening

here's hoping :50: -
tall and big players are good for us we havent got very much of them just now, as long as he is decent at where he plays could be a good signing

A very good CB/DM, but we're cramped in midfield. Some players will have to go before we can get him. Definitely a better option at DM than Caldwell, though.
