    Apparently he's not that defensive though,going by what an Israeli poster said on here the other day more of a central mod who likes to get forward..

    Does seem strange when we have Tom rogic,I'll hold judgement till I've seen him play then maybe compare..

    I think this is very much like-for-like competition for defensive centre mid with Kayal, to be honest. Although he is considered "box to box." I expect them (him and Rogic) to get similar amounts of game time, although not simultaneously, and playing different roles....all as the season progresses.

    However, that will likely turn out to be completely * wrong!:smiley-laughing002:

    Everything I've read of him seems to allude to the fact that he is a more forward-going midfielder, as opposed to a defensive/sitting midfielder.

    In all seriousnes the player I've seen him compared to the most is Busquets. Who I could only describe as a forward thinking defensive midfielder.

    good to see us sign another quality prospect everyone says he's a prospect, the fact a premiership team never bought him alludes to him not being ready but we obviously have the time to improve him and get him ready for a british type game while also get him some top champions league experience

    we already play with a wall in the middle of the park i would just love us to have forward passer instead of a side to side for a change :31:

    I hope he's a replacement for Kayal personally, who he has already replaced in the international setup.

    I don't think we can wait much longer to see 'the old Kayal' return.

    I would be on top of the world if we ever saw the Kayal that we did in his first season again, but he looks like a shadow of his former self - and to be honest, looks a pretty poor footballer......
