    Was fantastic tonight, winning the ball back at vital times, always finding space and picking the right pass. If that audacious half way line strike went in, I'd have shot my load right there and then :smiley-laughing002:

    Was brilliant in the first leg too, MOTM both games. Also scored to settle the nerves away at Stjarnan, great start to the new season for the big man.

    good to see his ability is coming through. how many years left on his contract? if we get into the groups and he has a big season, there will be teams sniffing around. lets getting him signed up. we need to keep a strong spine for the next 5 yrs to keep progressing in the CL.

    I'll tell you what, I don't think he's far off it. Van Dijk has always looked great, solid and dependable in my opinion, but Bitton has that touch of a player who could go on to be genuine world class eventually I think.

    Scary to think how good he can get. More excited about him than any other player. Think we will struggle to keep him next summer. Hope we get another 2 seasons out of him though.
