Was an absolute belter, think Wanyama scored one similar against Hearts before where the ball barely moved but wasnt as still as Bittons.

There was a weird mix of stunned silence and celebration. It was a thing of beauty.

It's a technique that's been around for a long time. Go back to David Narey against Brazil in '82. The famous "Toe Basher".

Van Dijk and Guidetti's free-kicks use the same technique.

Doing it in open play is something else.

Anyway here's Van Dijk from last season, the ball spins, but if you hit it straight and take a bit of power off at the end it dips:

Would you take anything less than £7mil for the big man?

I want him here for years to come. Keep our squad consistent with the odd player coming in or out to make way for squad development.

not saying we should sell him, just what we reckon his market value is. I would put him on a 5 year bumper deal though, yes.

I'd say you'd be getting 3-5 million for him right now. Could easily double that with some CL performances.

I'd be raging and you'd be getting 'sack the board' comments in the stands if we sold him for £3mil

If he adds goals to his game could see English teams coming in for him.

He is worth more than Ki was and we sold him for £6 million after doing very little.

Please someone tell me the rumours of club Brugge being interested is either bullshit or the club just being deluded and overly optimistic. I mean why would nirlo want to go there, it's a step down especially when looking at what his future holds for him

The Belgian league is currently much better than the Scottish ones and if Club Brugge become champions this year (but that is a big IF), they qualify directly for the CL group stages. Also look at their EL campaign this season (better than Celtic's). No way that is a step down (and that is coming from someone with a big dislike for Club Brugge!).

That being said, their offer for Bitton is laughable. He is worth much, much more than that.

It is a club at our level, but in a better league. Can't see him pushing for it though
