Bad news for #Celtic fans, Nir Bitton has been sent by team doctor for x-Ray on his foot. Updates as soon as I have them.

Fucksake this will be the 2nd time he's came back from internationals with an injury. Hope it's nothing serious, he really is a crucial part of the team.

    This is pish news.

The team has so much running in it now tho it may well suit Mulgrews passing ability.

Would also like to see Henderson start beside Brown and Mulgrew be phased back in, if need be.

Let's hope it's not too serious and he makes it back soon.

#Update on #Celtics Nir Bitton: IFA spokesperson tells me Bitton's injury is not new injury rather aggravation of latest ankle injury 1/2

    Raphael Gellar @Raphael_Gellar ·
Celtic Nir Bitton injury update: Bitton feels much better today and as of now will stay with the NT and not be replaced. More updates later.

When teams sit in against us Mulgrew is fine when a team presses well he looks very vulnerable, as most teams will try and keep it tight against us for the rest of the season, Mulgrew is adequate next to Brown.

If you look at his international form, Ireland sat off him and he was MOTM in the next game v England who pressed well he was cruelly exposed.

He does provide a goal threat, more so than Bitton, with the movement so good in the team at the moment Mulgrew may well relish picking out the passes. Mulgrew can still offer decent cover in a variety positions and has rarely let us down.

In saying that would like to see Henderson given a start next to Brown v St.Mirren if Bitton doesn't make it.

Bitton a real highlight of the season and I've really warmed to him after initial scepticism.

I like mulgrew, not in midfield though. Should only be allowed there if we are struggling. Biton deserves his place in our 11.

How do you explain his performance against Germany? Definitely one of the best pressing teams in the world and he was superb.

Charlie was bad at the start of the season when the full team was bad. Doesn't mean he's a bad player.

That's a good point he did have a good game against Germany.

And he still has lots to offer his range of passing should suit the movement that's in the side has now.

Bitton seems to take up really good positions and always available for a pass it will be interesting to see if we miss him, hopefully Bitton will be ok and it won't be an issue.

My concern with bringing straight back in is that he's bee injured for so long that presumably he hasn't got accustomed to the high level of intensity in training that Ronny's brought to us. He may need some time to really adapt to the sort of game we're now playing, and it may be that he still plays in much the same vein as at the start of the season until he gets up to speed.
