    I'd 100% rest him..

Go with McCowan out wide right for it or something..

If this was a game of football manager, I'd say rest him and play Yang or something.

Problem is this is real life and we're chronic with our back-up wingers on the pitch. Can see Rodgers really wanting to get him minutes on Boxing Day to give us some spark out there.

Fingers crossed this isn’t anything long term or it’s the nightmare scenario for us. We have become so reliant on him for creativity.

Hopefully AJ is git again and able to provide a threat on the right flank but I do think we need to think outside the box in how we set up going forward.

In Rodgers first stint he played Callum McGregor out wide at times and I think it wouldn’t be bad shout to try Hatate out wide right or left. He has played there before in Japan and for their U23 team.

He also had a couple of games at right fullback for us around Xmas time two years ago. He isn’t flying in top form but I think he would be better than Yang or Palma out there or at least worth a try.

We could then play a combo of Bernardo, Engels and McCowan in the middle.

The real solution is we need better options in our front three and we need to get them in quick in January.

Celtic face an anxious wait over the fitness of winger Nicolas Kuhn after a knee injury ruled the leading scorer out of the goalless draw with Dundee United at Tannadice

While a point maintains a nine-point lead over second-place Rangers in the Premiership, Brendan Rodgers faces an anxious wait to establish the full extent of 12-goal Kuhn’s unspecified knee problem.

Forced to ring the changes to his starting line-up, Rodgers said: ‘I don’t know how long Nicolas will be out for. Hopefully it’s not long term.

‘He felt a problem with his knee and then he felt a twinge on Saturday. We hope that it’s not too long but I will find out more on Monday about whether he will be back for Thursday.
He’d been running and moving okay but he felt a twinge when he passed the ball and we will need to see.

Nicolas, we will need to see. He’s been tentative with his knee and we didn’t want to risk that.’

Nicolas Kuhn insists Brendan Rodgers won’t allow his Celtic squad to lose sight of Saints with Rangers on the horizon.

The Hoops could all but kill off the Ibrox club’s faint title dreams with a victory on January 2 with the Light Blues a mammoth 12 points behind going into this weekend’s round of fixtures. But Kuhn – who was back with a bang from injury in the 4-0 Boxing Day win against Motherwell – is adamant the manager won’t tolerate any of his men getting distracted with St Johnstone up first at Parkhead tomorrow

The wide man said: “It’s not too difficult for us. We always focus on the next game. We saw what happened in the last one but we just focus on the next match and getting the three points. Then we will see what is coming. There are the same amount of points available in this game as the next one. That’s how we did it last season and we are doing this time – we always focus on the next game.

“We have done a great job so far. We only have one loss – and that was in the Champions League. We learned from that one as well. I am not too stressed about it. We just try to keep going and get as many points as possible

The manager plays a really big part. He always gets us ready for the next game. He builds the team and keeps us feeling good. He keeps us down to earth and focuses on the next game.”

Kuhn came off the bench to notch his 13th goal of the season in the Well win and he’s already topped his best scoring season of his career. The 24-year-old – who sat out the Dundee United draw – is determined to keep the foot down for the second half of the season. He said: “It was still a bit painful but it was good to be back. The goal was not the nicest I’ve scored but I will take it.

It’s nice to pick up where I left off. I just tried to continue the way I’ve started this season and I was happy to get the goal. But the most important thing was the three points.

I feel good. I am really happy at the club, with the team and all the people here. I enjoy playing. Do I have a taste for goals? Yes. Maybe at the end I could have taken another shot but I wanted to get the assist!

It’s nice to assist too. I don’t really set targets. The most important thing for me is to stay fit after a full pre-season with the team.

“I have felt fit all season so hopefully it will be fine and I am back 100 per cent soon. This has been my best return now and there are still a lot of games to come.

You can’t play in all of them but I am happy to be back and I want to continue. My ambitions are just to stay fit and keep going.

It was almost hysterical the difference in quality when he came on for Yang. Ralston behind Yang was ok, Kuhn came on and Ralston behind him was suddenly * excellent.

We need good back up for the wingers.

Unlucky not to have 2 goals today, but for an outstanding save.

Breezed past their full back like he wasn't there almost every time he got the ball. Didn't even look like he was running at full tilt most of the time but no-one could get near him. He is truly spectacular this season.

He’s got so many similarities to the way Messi plays. Obviously Messi is a different level completely, goes without saying.

The way he drifts by players, touch, no fancy skills, the curlers, the passing with the side of the foot. height and build etc. Even the goal today is the kinda one Messi would score sometimes when folk expected him just to pass it in, he rattles it.

Bring in Jota and Tierney to we see them two and Johnston and Kuhn in the one team even put Maeda up front.
