Around Christmas time, I'd have been demanding, if we were selling him, for it to break the transfer record, a minimum £30 million.

Now? I'd honestly take £15 million for him, if we get £20 million that's terrific business.

Albeit some can contribute a health issue to poor form last season and a poor attitude this second half of the season, but either way - he has showed up for 1/3 of his time here, I like him as a player when on it, but wouldn't be bothered if he was sold this summer. So long as we replace the position.

Don't underestimate the amount a few goals in the champions league can add to a player's value. Particularly a screamer against his prospective new employers

Players with his attitude rarely amount to much. He may well get his move and payday to a bigger league where he will have a wee purple patch then lose form, warm the bench for a while then be punted to a lesser club in about 18 months. Seen it happen time and time again with players who have all the talent but their attitude holds them back massively.
