Swooping Vulture - was originally a joke about my footy skills and how i would swoop on any chance to score but it really caught on after i took advantage of a young lady in a cinema.

My brother worked with a boy who's nickname was "Best of". He had * MASSIVE ears, so therefore had the best of equipment. The boy I work with's bro-in-law is called Piessac Newton, because he's fat as * and thick as *.

I've had a couple; when I was in Edinburgh, it was Coco (something they call guys called Colin) and when I was younger it was Carlos, or Valderamma, because my hair would go into a massive 'fro when I was sweating and running around.

Rubbish nicknames were always things like Canaghan - Conny, Ferguson - Fergie etc.

Knew a guy once who got called Jane for a while shortehend from Jane Fonda.

Somebody has said Jane Fonda was an old past it bag. He defended her by blurtin out I'D LOVE TO HAVE A BODY LIKE JANE FONDA....the nickname had stuck afore he'd had time to ut it in a context.

My real names Karl but when I'm playing football they call me Carlos or the Jackal (Carlos the Jackal!). Mate of mine is called Sweep. He's mixed race so it's from Sooty and Sweep.

I get called 'M.C.' hence the username. Almost exclusively as well there's very little people that call me 'Paul' barring parents and a couple of other family members.

I think i'm getting a bit long in the tooth for it now though!

McGuvyer - was an old one from me, goes back to my college days when I had my first PC and bought a 28.8k modem for it (top of the range!) I was studying computing at college too.

Anyway I had this modem could I get the * to work, naw it just would not connect, I had it hooked up to the PC used the intal floppy disc everything, took it back to the shop three times to get replaced!!!

Still no joy - turns out I had never plugged the bassa into the phone socket in the wall.....*ahem* it has to go into the phone socket? I said to my mate.....

So for pure irony the guy who could make a bomb out of a shoelace and chewing gum I was nicknamed after him.....
