After last nights loss Gerald Wallace had a go at his team mates to the media for the third time in his short Celtics tenure, accused players of trying to pad their stats instead of focusing on seeing the game out with the big lead.

Good start to the NBA. Blake Griffin and CP3's three consecutive alley oops was insane.

A lot of teams have improved this year. Rockets obviously have Howard now along with The Beard. Nets have obviously acquired a lot of talent as well. Bulls have D. Rose back, who I'm buzzing to see back to his best. Looking forward to seeing how the Pacers do this year as well, with Granger, Hibbert & George. And the Heat are just the Heat.

Happy with how the Knicks are looking. Although it's early on in the season, Chandler looks aggressive, and I think he could potentially be back to his best, where he won defensive MVP. Expecting a big season from Shump, 2 seasons under his belt, and now is his time to shine. He's at the stage where he's a starter, but that can change after one bad game. His attitude is refreshing, and he's a solid player. Melo is just Melo. And MWP is a big acquisition, not only for his defence, but just his experience. Hardaway Jr has the potential for rookie of the year. Wasn't too excited with Bargs coming in, but he hasn't done badly in his first couple games. If he makes more room for Melo, I'm happy.

Funny to read this thread and Scottish people using the Basketball/American patter.

"tank this season", "blow out", "take the W" :icon_mrgreen:

What does tank the season even mean?

It means you deliberately set out to be as bad as you can in a season so you have a better chance of getting a high pick in the draft the next summer.

    Do teams actually do that?

I would have guessed it meant they were great and just smashed through teams easily beating them like a tank lol

Easy win for Orlando over Brooklyn 107-86, Nets again not playing their starters too much though.

Celtics drop to 0-3 after a 87-77 loss to Detroit, Kelly Olynyk led the team with 15 points and 8 rebounds, Jordan Crawford and Avery Bradley added 13 each but main talking point will be the fact that Boston left out their best scorer (Green) and best big man (Faverani) for most of the night....tank mode engaged.

Boston beat Miami 111-110 thanks to a 3 pt buzzer beater by Jeff Green, this after the Cs had been down 4 with less than two seconds remaining, they got one basket back and then after Dwayne Wade missed two free throws to win the game Green stepped up with the big shot. Green finished the Celtics top scorer with 25, Avery Bradley added 17 and Jordan Crawford 15.

Pacers are still perfect at 7-0 after a 96-91 win over the Nets, Jazz are also perfect...perfectly * that is as they get blown out by the Raptors 115-91 and are now 0-7.

Shocking start from The Knicks a team with championship ambitions should have made a better start, they lost to Charlotte Bobcats earlier in the week

That Jeff Green 3 pointer at the buzzer was outstanding
