Pistons have aquired Brandon Jennings from the Bucks in a S&T deal sending Brandon Knight, Khris Middleton and Viacheslav Kratsov the other way.

Greg Oden has chosen to try and make his comeback with the Maimi Heat, he has agreed a two year deal at league minimum money with the second year being player option.

Was hoping he would have went elsewhere, could be a good piece in the rotation if he can comeback fully

Celtics first game is against the Raptors, they should be calling this game The Battle for Andrew Wiggins. :bbpd:

Just bought NBA 2K13 for £20, anybody played it? Thought I'd ask here rather than the gaming section

Just a wee bump, season starts next month and I'm buzzed for it. What's everyone's thoughts going in to it? I'm looking forward to seeing a fit D.Rose again, he'll improve the Bulls so much. The Nets will be an interesting outfit this year as well.

Hopefully the Knicks will have a stronger showing in the play-offs than last year. In an ideal world, Woodson will have a starting line-up of Felton, Shump, Melo, MWP and Chandler.

Looking forward to it this year, as you say will be interesting to see how Rose looks and how improved the Bulls will be, hopefully giving Miami some real challenge in the East. The Nets will be interesting, can see them flattering to deceive if I'm honest, will still comfortably be in the playoffs but can't see them getting to the Finals. Wanting to see how the Pacers cope after last years near miss against Miami in the conference finals and how Paul George will further develop, big plus for them in keeping West.

Out West, I'm looking forward to see how OKC respond after the injury to Westbrook that hurt them in the playoffs, if Westbrook and Durrant are fit for playoff time I will say OKC will be champions. Also, will be interesting to see how the ageing Spurs cope after last years disappointment, and how the Rockets will shape up with Harden and Howard, and how Lakers cope without D12 and Kobe :56:

Unfortunately the Celtics are going to struggle this year, I think next week they will be able to start looking for trades for the players obtained in the Brooklyn trade and some of the others who are log jammed at the 2 and 4 spots and we will then see how the roster looks for the season .

JR Smith has been suspended for 5 games for a failed drugs test, he is already expected to miss the start of the season after surgery and under NBA rules the ban won't begin until he is fit to play.

JR's off his head. Worried that last season Jason Kidd maybe kept him on the rails, and now he doesn't have that experienced head to keep him in check. There's MWP..that's not what he needs!

But gives me an excuse to post one of my favourite gifs.

The Heat have resigned their former first round draft pick Michael Beasley to a non guaranteed contract after he was cut by the Pheonix Suns last week after a drug arrest during the summer.

This is how I see this season shaping up. You might not agree with some of them... like the Pelicans being the 11th best team in the league. If they can bond quickly they will be a force, trust me.

I love being a Miami Heat fan. They continue to add quality players around the big three every year instead of having them carry the team.

Oden and Beasley are big risks, but they could pay off. Beasley had a real hard time back in the worst Heat team since I started supporting them, Wade was injured and he was expected to be the star man. He showed signs but he was still young. Now he is experienced and could finally showcase that talent a No.2 draft pick should have. Oden is a No.1 draft pick, a very unlucky one. This has to be his year. If those 2 break out this season the Heat are going to put up a record season.

Battier, one of the best 3 point shooters and man on man defenders.
Mario Chalmers, a solid and ever improving PG.
Norris Cole, a young talent learning from the best in the game and the potential to exceed Chalmers' ability.
    Ray Allen... enough said.
Rashard Lewis, if he can find even half his form from his glory days at Seattle he will be so valuable off the bench.
Joel Anthony, a hard working player that will get you blocks and rebounds.
Chris Andersen, BIRDMAN BIRDMAN, my second favourite player.
James Jones, another great 3 point shooter who will have miles of space with the big 3 on the floor.
My favourite player behind Chris Andersen, Udonis Haslem, Mr Reliable. Been there through thick and thin, no one is more about Miami than this man.
Also we have added Roger Mason Jr, who I always liked at the Spurs. Bring huge energy off the bench.
Then the rookies, whoever makes the cut!

I'M SO EXCITED!!! * bless Pat Riley.

Celtics go down 97-89 to the Raptors in their first pre-season game, Gerald Wallace led Boston with 16 points, Jarred Sullinger had 14, Avery Bradley 12 and Kris Humphries 11. It was a poor shooting night for the Cs and they were still suffering their usual problem of being out-rebounded (46-26 to Toronto)
