Agree but that is exactly what Tottenham fans said about the appointment of Ange. We just need to trust the board and for once they actually deserve it. Never thought i would say that

Ange has just had an incredibly successful period with us though. Maresca has done nada when it comes to management. Absolutely nada. We shouldn’t be entertaining the idea of bringing him here given we are an attractive prospect right now.

 

Totally agree with you we should be doing what spurs did to us and go for a manager who has had a outstanding season with a club somewhere in Europe for farther afield and stop looking at coaches who are unemployed or have little experience as a manager.

 

I wonder if Knutsen is being interviewed?

 

We should go after that Man City manager he looks the real deal, got a great assistant as well I’m sure we could convince him, and for wages we just give him the club he’s the new owner.

Last season was a failure for them, they were champions then surrendered the title easily - Molde won it by 18 points. Apart from that run to the Conference quarters the other European results aren't all that great. Knocked out by 2 Polish sides - Warsaw in the CL then Poznan this season. No Norwegian side has qualified for the Champions League since 2007, don't see that changing anytime soon.

He's only ever managed a club the same size as St.Mirren and a few sides in the lower leagues, that's a world away from the pressure of managing Celtic infront of 60,000. Bodo average just 6k.

 

They look much better this season but he's had some dodgy results. In most recent CL campaign lost to Linfield (did win the tie though), struggled past the Icelandic champions 4-3 although the Europa group was hard.
I just find it strange he hasn't left yet and there must be a reason why. You'd think someone would have by now.

 

Knutsen was suspended during those 3 games. That was because Mourinho and his friend Nuno Santos pulled a dirty trick on him to get him suspended (harrassed/attack Knutsen by Nuno Santos). Mourinho and Santos are famous for their bad behaviour in football, but the Uefa just let them get away with it.

 

What's Paul Lambert upto these days

 

He's possibly the best manager on the list. Been successful wherever he's gone and has shown he has a few different styles of play and can play attacking football when necessary. I voted Knutsen as Clarke won't leave Scotland but would take him in the future.

 

Be interesting to see how these all ended up getting on in their new/existing jobs. Might try and have a look later and update the thread.

 

Not name checked on the list though I think we were linked to him but Farioli doing an excellent job at Nice. Has them sitting 2nd in table and only conceded 9 goals in the league so far. Not scoring much though tbf but get the impression he's made Nice a hard team to beat.

 

When you look at the guys with highest percentages,

Knutsen has just won the league again, with Bodo/Glimt.
Iraiola has picked up much better after a rocky start with Bouremouth. Incredible 3-0 battering of United at Old Trafford last week.
Rodgers obviously came here and has been suspect, at best.
Graham Potter remains out of work but if you believe the tabloids, is destined to takeover at Man Utd once Radcliffes 25% stake of the club goes through.
Enzo Maresca has had the best start in the championship ever but still has many huge players from the Premier League in their team.
Marsch remains out of work.
Pascal Jensen is still doing good work at AZ Alkmaar, they are currently sitting 3rd in the Eredivisie, comfortably ahead of Ajax and only a couple of points behind Feyenoord in second. Everyone trailing behind PSV at the minute.

I know he's not on the list but a lot of people recommended Farioli, who has been excellent in France with OGC Nice. They're currently sitting in 2nd place, 4 points behind heavy spenders PSG.

 

Think we were linked with Daniel Farke aswel weren’t we? Who after a rocky start is doing very well with Leeds and has them playing good football
