Nothing to do with who is in front of him when it comes to claiming crosses and so on. He just never looks convincing with cross balls, and his kicking is awful.

It's got a little bit to do with it... If you know the guy's in front of you are solid your gonna have more confidence in your ability to claim crosses and balls in the box. Also not going to get punished as much for it if he does * up. As for his kicking, I've never seen his kicking to be so terrible. Never wowed me with his distribution but very few keepers have. He's always looked a pretty decent kicker to me.

Even with Virgil and Denayer in front of him he was still dodgy at corners/crosses. He's a very good shot-stopper, but other than that he's ordinary.

Half of his kicks end up going out for a throw.

He's getting worse. Some of his decision making is awful and I won't begin to talk about his kicking.

Yep (woeful decision making at best), plus his utterly dreadful kicking..

    He's become a major problem..

He was outstanding 2 years ago & ive always been a fan but last year he was quite poor but I think that was down to the shocking defence in front of him as Deila took all the teams confidence away but it looks like he hasnt recovered he was dodgy as * against Leicester his kicking & when he ran out the box in the second half the player beat him to it just showed his confidence is shattered.

I think we do need a new keeper I wouldn't mind Fasan getting a chance but get Bailly to * he is a bigger liability than Ambrose he is cocky & erratic which is the worst combo for a keeper

If we had to get a new keeper I'd like Michel Vorm.

Think it said during the last game he is 33...we should start looking for his replacement now.

I used to give Forster somewhat of a hard time due to a few weaknesses in his game but compared to Gordon he's Forster is basically Oliver Kahn.

Gordon is a good shot-stopper but in terms of claiming crosses/corners he's absolutely horrendous, I'll never forget the Malmo tie, 3 of the 4 goals we conceded came in and around the 6 yard box (I think, from what I remember) which should be the goalkeepers to claim all day long. He's also poor with his feet.

    An upgrade would be ideal.

Think Gordon is too hesitant at times. Does not come and claim the ball when he should be but goes out for silly runs when he shouldn't. Decision making is a key attribute for goalkeepers. All he has going for him, is he is a good shot stopper.

He's not dominant, doesn't inspire you with confidence - I really don't rate him as a keeper the way he flaps at shots to his chest is * abdominal for Celtic keeper, complete panic merchant and we should be looking for better.

Molde away he was completely shocking, he was at fault for a good majority of the goals we conceded in Europe last season.

Nah. Gordon has proved himself to be a very good keeper. He had a few high profiles last season, but that was after holding back the floodgates for almost a year and a half. Think the guy deserves a break, and some credit.

Goalkeeper is not a position we need to concentrate on. We need a defence in front of him that does their job so he isn't as heavily relied upon in the first place.

From the looks of things it seems like we may have that now:

    */Janko - Toure/(Efe or Boyata or O'Connel) - Sviatchenko/Simunovic - Tierney/Izzy

    No bad.

    Don't rate him myself.

Looks nervous in europe. I would prefer a new keeper, but wouldn't mind Bailly or Fasan getting a shot. Bailly seems to have that cockiness about him which I think a 'keeper needs, remains to be seen how good he is though.

Absolutely no reason to replace Gordon. If Rodgers gets the team playing, it'll take the pressure off and he'll get back to being the keeper he was.

He gets beat at the front post far too easily.

That's certainly something I hope Rodgers can sort out. The defending has been dreadful over the last few seasons.
