It's a mighty impressive record when you think about it. See in 5 years when we discover the fees we get for certain players. You'll look back and think 'ooft that was a good bit of business'.

Well done Lennon. Keep the gems coming!

I don't agree that Cha and Murphy are complete duds. Very harsh indeed. Cha is relatively decent at full back, and Murphy never got much of a chance to show his worth.

The Ljunberg signing was a big mistake, but the only really * player I think he's taken on is Badr El Kaddouri. He's * rank rotten.

You can forgive El Kad though, we desperately needed a left back and were offered a multiple time capped internationalist for 6 months. Would have felt like a no brainer at the time.

Lennon has also seemed to improve Mark Wilson and Scott Brown they feel like two new signings tbh.

First off, only £2m for Stokes? Really? Way more than that IMO...

Also worth pointing out that if these players were being transferred from one EPL club to ANother EPL, or if Celtic played in the EPL, their value would skyrocket.

Probably all be worth 3 times the prices noted above.

Great thing is, they are all young and as such all have a resale value even to their next club - should any of them decide to move on.

Hopefully none of them will move on, however if they do I think we should be asking for way more than the prices listed above.

Time to stop being the bargain basement for teams in bigger leagues!!!

And in terms of duds, I honestly wouldn't say Lennon has signed a dud. Cha maybe isn't the best RB in the world but to say he's a dud is a bit harsh.

Also if Murphy played for 90 minutes week in, week out then perhaps he would have been a player for us. He's done ok elsewhere, just didn't happen for him here!

    Hail Hail

Cha cost nothing and was minimal risk signing for a backup Right Back for Wilson. Therefore I would not class him as a dud. He does his job, and does put in a good shift but lacks that extra quality.

Juarez is a big dud!! 3.5 mil, get into first team and we still do not know if he is a right back or a right mid, or a central mid !?

Murphy cost us 1 mil....still have no idea why we signed him. Lenny signed him knowing he had no intentions of playing him week in week out. But he did do alright when he had a few games during the end of last season.

Forster, not a dud since he has played a lot of games for us and has got a good record. Nevertheless I still think is complete sh*te and we definitely need to bring in a proper GK in the summer.

CHa is a dud,an absolute bomb scare, cant pass, no composure on ball and when he put in one of his poor crosses he strolls back.
Matthews, Lustiq and Wilson are far far better.

Think some of the valuations are a little pessimistic, think we could maybe add another 10 million to them lol

Lennon has been very shrewd in the market but you can't help but admire the calibre of players john park has scouted!

    Juarez was Lennon's worst signing.

Followed by Bangura. Before someone comes and has a go it has nothing to do with his ability(or lack of it), it's purely because we had money to spend on a striker and it went on the wrong type of front man.

Not to be a downer. But are the assessments really as we think? There is a lot of 'excellent' in that list and even a 'world class' and yet we lost the league to a team with BroadfOOt, Whittaker, Laugherty, Weir, Edu, Djouf and so on? Take three players (McGregor, Davis and Jellylegs) out the hun team and you have Hearts. We're 4 behind them and they pumped us 4 2.

My assessments were of individual players, while you are describing things that happened to a team, most of the time a team that includes players outwith the ones Lennon has signed.

Yes, our team lost 4-2 to Rangers and we're behind them in the table. Does that mean that on an individual basis, all our players are inferior to Rangers'? No, that's not how football works. Yes, its a results based industry, but you can't point to one bad score line and say that my assessments were wrong.

You also point to the fact that we lost the league last year. Had we drawn with ICT, all other results staying the same, we would have won the league. So in essence you are saying because we didn't score 1 extra goal over the course of a season, the individuals in the team aren't as good as I have claimed.

When you say we lost the league to a team with those players, again you aren't telling the whole story. We lost the league, by 1 point, to one of the most successful managers in Scottish football, in Lennon's first year in charge.

If you consider Cha was free and decent back-up, Murphy (supposedly) wasn't Lennon's signing and provided a long-ball alternative (which we never ended up using that often) and Ljungberg was signed for experience and was only kept out of the team by other top performers, then Lennon's signing policy has been great.

I wouldn't say Juarez flopped in terms of technical ability, there was something else behind the scenes which can happen with any signing. We will recoup roughly what we paid for him because of his age, international pedigree and the fact he is playing in La Liga.

We have been inconsistent with some performances, which is expected from youth, but our squad value is very high considering the amount spent. If we can added 1-2 experienced heads, that add something on the playing side, then this team could be together for years to come. January seems like the time, if there ever was one, to get these players in.

    Forster - decent

Khaddouri - So-so. Considering the time we had to find a LB after Izzy got hurt, a veteran from Dynamo Kiev is a decent rabbit to pull out of the hat. However, I'd rank Khaddouri as probably our weakest all around full back.
Maj- good last year, was bad at the start of this year but has come onto a game
    Cha- decent
    MAtthews- very good signing
    Emilio - great signing
Wilson- decent signing, he's been hurt a while so the jury is out

    Kayal - great signing
Juarez - bad signing in result (we never play him and spent $$ on him)
    Ledley- good signing
Wanyama - looks a great signing
Commons - great signing last year, has had his injury problems this season unfortunately which is unfortunate.
Freddie - bad in result, but only due to Commons' incredible form (there were not many left wingers in the world who could match his goal ratio with us last season)

Hooper- very good signing, if he starts producing consistently in Europe, I'd mark it great
    Stokes - same as above
Murphy - bad signing, a lot of money for a backup who we ultimately let go.

He has done pretty well, Juarez I still think can do a job for us as a utility player, he has done well at zaragoza this season and has shown before that he has loads of talent

Anyone see a similar pattern to last season.our defence was attrocious for a period and then all of a sudden looked solid, giving the false impression that things were good in defence and never needed strengthened.then we start making silly errors again when window is closed.

Lennon in my opinion has handled the layout of the team, the players and the transfers excellently. He has brought in some great players but I also admire how he has managed to bring some 'duds' back and restore their respectability ( Wilson, Samaras ( yes Samaras, Brown ).

Forster - Good signing imo. People always compare him to better keepers like Boruc which is really unfair. I think he does a great job for us ( bar a few wee things )

Kelvin Wilson - Not had enough time on the pitch for me to decide but seemed fair when he did play
Dan - Went through a really rocky patch earlier this season but he was solid last season and looking like he has rediscovered that form
Rogne - Seems to have fallen out of favour but did well for us bar a horrible 45 minutes at Ibrox.
Chuck - What a signing ! Very committed player and looks so calm and composed when playing. Also great he's a Scot.
Cha - Don't see how he can be classed as a dud. Does his job and has great pace. Made a mistake in Rennes but lots of players will make a howler in their career.
Izzy - Great. No more needs to be said. But I hope he's the same player when he comes back from injury.

Commons - Loved him last season. Shame he's had a horrible season this year. But has a great shot on him and would still rather have him than not.
Ledley - Excellent player for us. Great passing and vision.
Juarez - Seemed good enough when he arrived. Something must have happened but I wish him all the best. Don't think he'll be back for long when the season finishes.
Kayal - Very committed player and has the ability to win the ball back from the opposition.
Wanyama - Could be better than Kayal I think. Never gets the ball taken from him and has great awareness of other players positions/runs.

Hooper - Best signing of the lot in my opinion. Best striker we've had since McDonald.
Stokes - Clever player, has great trickery and works well with Hooper. Bit greedy but still a great player.
Murphy - Will admit he was a bit of a dud but he did have good hold up play and scored one or two winning goals for us plus his goal against United was quality.
Bangura - Can't class him as a dud yet but when he has played he doesn't do much.
