    * if we had more celtic fans in the board room we would be 100million in dept...wishing we had rangers problems...and lennon would be our manager for 30 years no matter what the results.
It is time for us to get our heads out our * with the celtic is always better....keep the faith....crap.
Out of our last 4 managers three were CELTIC MINDED and only one of them had celtic winning year in year out.
Its not time for lennon to go yet but he needs to start winning these big games in the spl and also a few in europe.

Neil Lennon came in and totally changed our club around after Mowbray (and to an extent the end of Strachan) and pulled the club from it's knees. He started filling the ground again when attendences were at a frightening low and gave us fans something to shout about. He brought some serious quality to the squad when it was really needed with people like Hooper, Kayal, Ki and especially Izzy (the latter solving a huge problem that we had suffered for years before under previous managers) and very nearly won the league in his first year in charge...our football was fantastic.

Every now and then though he does something with his team that makes your jaw hit the floor as soon as you see a line up. These selection gambles aren't minor wee shuffles, when it happens it's normally painstakingly obvious. Today was one of them instances!!!

Glenda, Mulgrew (at left midfield :31:) and Sammy had me screaming at my tele when the team was shown. IMO Mulgrew should have been in beside Kelvin, Ledley out left wing and Stokes up with Hooper. Crazy selections on such a big day.

Then he showed that same remarkable madness (which I hate to say borders on cluelessness and panacking) when he decided to take off our left back (granted he had a poor game and was beat almost every time by Naismith) instead of Mulgrew when he was very obviously one more foul away from another yellow, having just gotten away with another stupid foul against Laugherty down in the corner. My throat was sore shouting at the tele (couldn't get a ticket!!).

Sadly for Neil, it's 4 years now since we won the SPL and lets face it, we're losing it every year to a very poor Rangers team who are financially on their knees...no excuse. We are not in a position anymore, IMO, where not winning the league is an option, where random, at times unexplainable team selections (from a very inexperienced although die hard Celtic manager) continue to hand Rangers the upper hand. I love Neil Lennon...Celtic Legend in my eyes, but as far as I can see, he needs help in there. These selection dramas are destroying our progress.

I'm not saying Lennon Out, and I agree with the point someone made earlier in this thread that "do we keep hiring and firing until we win the league"...excellent point, but the selection issues, accompanied no doubt by some very poor individual performances, will again see us lose to a poor Rangers side in dire straights themselves. We have the better players, it shouldn't be a contest IMO!!

    Grand old team

He`s a LEGEND ???? - Are you seriously saying he`s up their with Jimmy Johnstone.Charlie Tully.Danny McGrain etc etc ..eh no he`s not. He will be sacked this season because he has NOT got a clue to set up a team. He cant raise the squad who constantly FAIL. He picks his Favourites who are below average. Changes a team to play them (are they barcelona). He`s a Rookie not a legend in my book and he couldnt pick a decent defender if he tried. another shambolic day in the life of celtic. * sick of those failures.

Lenny keep sammy in the starting line up and drop your top striker to the bench AGAIN and you mite aswell collected your P45 and get the * outta parkhead!! It was even mentioned in pre match commentry that stokes and hooper have been involved in every goal bar 1 so far this season! If you cant see that you must have been lucky so far!!! I will play sammy cause the huns have 2 new CB! Biggest * ive heard yet!!!!

Sammy was not the problem today mate, I know your hurting but the comment in bold is, well, unnecessary at best. There are plenty of justified critisisms of Lennons tactical niavity on this thread but yours isnt one of them.

    I'm not picky.
Always happens when we get beat, mate :icon_mrgreen: The Lennon bashers come out when we play bad/get beat but as soon as we go on a winning run we don't see them :87:

It's all about opinions Coatbridge, yours may say that to you he isn't a Legend because he doesn't compare to some of the greats you mentioned, to others he is a Legend.

What I know to be a fact is that he gave his all for his club (our club) as a player and captain, was part of a great Celtic team and on top of all of that has stuck by his club through the most disgusting sectarian hatred and attempts on his life that have been ongoing from the day he first signed. After Mowbray's shambolic reign we were crying out for change, Neil gave us a large part of change and fell short right at the end on giving us our first title in a few years, while enduring the most disgraceful treatment from the rest of the country (both those who participated AND those who failed to act against it with the force it deserved!!) anyone has ever known.

It is my opinion that he can write his name up there with the other Legends from our wonderful history, but again, it's only an opinion!!

I know apparently we can afford world class managers.

    Support your team and manager!
