I totally agree mate.I watched McStay throughout his whole career and at the time couldnt believe that some people seen him as world class.
To me he was a decent midfielder in some very poor Celtic sides, which is why he stood out a lot.The guy was Celtic through and through and that will never be denied. He played for Celts for his whole career and was loved for that, and quite rightly so.
He was agood passer of the ball and liked to get forward all the time but once he got near the goal he took afuckin nosebleed. His shooting was terrible and his goal record was atrocious. The guy was far too shy and quiet to be a captain. He couldnt shout at his players or gee them up when
required.IMO if he had went to Juventus, who wanted him.then Ithink he would have made a big mistake because he wouldnt have made it in Italy
Saying all this,a lovely guy who gave his all for the hoops and will be remembered as a legend by most

He needs to give Bangura a chance, instead of bringing him on at the 80th minute!

A week is a long time in football and we have to keep things in circumspect.
As Neil Lennon said himself last week, we are still in Europe and the League Cup and Rangers are out. They are 4 points ahead in the league but that can still be recovered, so some circumspection is required here.

Well football is a moving picture Jack, and I am not going to crucify Neil Lennon until we see where the cookie crumbles.

In the game against Inverness i found it a pretty strange decision to take off a central midfielder and put on a winger, to give us 2 wingers when we are already 2-0 up? Seems counter-intuitive, why go more attacking when we are already winning, especially paddy at that who isn't exactly a ball winner.

If inverness had scraped a goal after that, i'm pretty sure Lennon would have been lambasted....

too many to choose a favourite, der all smashin!

Simple, when the win is in the bag give your fans exciting easy on the eye football. I.e let paddy do his thing so we can see some showboating and trickery. Its not a strange decision to give your fans exciting football or atleast try to give exciting football when you have the match won.

If anything, thank lenny for his attempt to please the fans and give them football we want to see! :50:

He needs to sort out his problems with commons pronto, hes too good a player to be frozen out of the team altogether.

Pretty disgusted by the anti-McStay comments, you're entitled to your opinions but I think they stink.

He was a great player especially early on when he was more of an attacker. A CM of McStay and Collins was a higher level than we currently have.

A lot of season left. I'll judge the manager when the season is over. I disagree with some of his tactics so far, but if he ends up winning the league, then he will have had a successful season.

if/when he gets sacked/leaves, we better not go for someone because they're "Celtic minded", * sick of that *

    just cause they're Celtic minded doesn't mean they're a good * manager!

Neil Lennon was like a slow moving version of John Clark.
Strachan actually kept playing Lennon for two seasons too long, when it was obvious Lennon's legs had gone.

When he was a key player in two league title wins and getting us to the last 16 and being 2 Paulo Maldini handballs away from the last 8?

An aging Neil Lennon who wasn't replaced until Beram Kayal arrived?

    Really?
