Perhaps, whether we like the risk of the gamble or not, he took an educated and researched guess that led him to believe they won't score against us so long as we set up shop properly and if it works then we had a fresh Eddie on the bench to change the tide of the game when things were beginning to open up.

It was a huge gamble, one he won't win every time and he deserves some criticism for it, but if we are allowed to take the alleged word of Sutton where stated that Eddie says not feeling 100% then it's Eddie that forces Lennon into the decision.

Which was continue with Morgan as he was showing enough to deserve an extra go, go with griff who himself is only just returning to match fitness and needs time or start Eddie who's already said he ain't feeling 100.

However, his decision to start Elyounoussi when clearly "big" Mikey deserved a start boggles me, there is simply no explaining that decision

And you’re talking about the one game, rather than this track record you speak of. You haven’t disputed a word @Seán Mac D says.

I'm not trying to paper over the cracks, just pointing out the fact of the matter. I don't strongly disagree with your comments but I don't think the management team are ignorant of the frailties either. I don't see the need for counterfactuals to make a point.

Seems like a big deal to you.

You've been camped in here since the final whistle putting the boot in to the manager.

    We won mate cheer up.

That performance was an anomaly. We have been flying for months. We found ourselves with a few injuries and half fit players. We still won the cup.

    Enjoy it.

It was torture to be fair.

In a decade though all that will be remembered is we win our 10th domestic trophy in a row.

Hopefully in a decade we will be celebrating our 25th domestic trophy in a row.

Come on but mate. You have been picking holes in the managers selection/tactics since the final whistle.

There was obviously reasons for his line up, it wasn't working, he changed it at half time and it still wasn't working. He was then forced to bring on a clearly unfit Édouard which immediately paid dividends for us.

You said Lennon has a track record for "this sort of thing"

The sort of thing being reshuffling a depleted squad?

He gambled. It almost went * up but it didn't. We won the cup.

I doubt we will see a performance like that again.

When I saw Edouard struggle after 10 minutes, I thought Lennon's initial lineup choices seemed sensible. He didn't believe Edouard could handle a long period of play. It seems he could've had Griff on the bench, though.

Or maybe our big players just didn't perform.

On a positive note, his decision to play frimpong was excellent. The wee man was our best outfield player.

If Griff was match fit, he should have played. Im buzzing with the outcome, but its the second time that we have seen a performance like this vs them under lennon in his second spell and i really hope we sort it out.
