Neil Lennon: Post Match Interview. Laughable.

I think he lost the dressing room after his previous comments and thats why he is being careful this time

Strachan was actually decent in Europe, and won the league in his 1st season aswell.

 

I think he's just trying to lift the players by coming out and publicly backing them. He's probably booted their balls the past couple of weeks, so what more can he do to try and motivate them?

Sensible heads on, folks - we were at a disadvantage after 43 seconds!

 

Not delusional my friend just seeing it without anti lennon glasses on ...All the planning he has done went out the window ...we had to score to keep in the game with 10 men this is difficult ....we got caught at the back .....yes however we did have a couple of spells where i thought we were going to grab one

agree with LB tbh we were always going to struggle after that start. The missed opportunity of the first leg and stupid individual errors were what cost us more than the team effort in my opinion, and don't really think Lennon is to blame for the ever decreasing standard of Scottish teams.

 

There were spells towards the end of the first half where we controlled the game with 10 men but we created * all with it. That tells you how * this mob is. Ourselves too.

What happened to the Neil Lennon after Ross County who calls it as he sees it. Get a grip, do not try and defend tonight we were disgraceful and a shambles at the back. There was nothing "brilliant or excellent" tonight except Charlie's goal and Forster's many saves. If it wasnt for the big man it would have been even more embarassing.

Yes, considering we played 87 minutes plus injury time with 10 men, we did OK. We should still have done better against a team who were so poor. As the commentator on the stream I was watching said, if we were up against a better quality team it would have been 4 or 5 goals easy, probably more.


I think this is maybe a reaction after what he said after the St Johnstone game. Strachan always got slated for defending dire performances, but he was doing that to protect his players. Maybe Lennon has decided that he needs to do the same, and that they are so low on confidence just now that any further public humiliation, would be extremely detrimental to the rest of the season.


I hope that's the case anyway, if he believes that they were fantastic - and after the poor team selection and shocking lack of substitutions - I would be very worried.


If we don't get 3 points on Sunday this is going to get very uncomfortable for him.

 

I am getting seriously * off with people who turn on Lenny at the drop of a hat.
He's trying to breathe a bit off confidence into his team after a bad result FFS! He does that and he's slated. Yet if he comes out being honest and tells the interviewer his team was pish he STILL gets slated for being to open! The man can't win with some people!!

 

He always says stuff like that but. We could scrape a last minute goal against St.Mirren and we'd be outstanding and world class so i'm not surprised tbh.

 

Any of you played a match with 10 players after 45 seconds, did ye win?

Don't want to get into an argument but I have to disagree. Lennon in the manager. It is his job to organise and reorganise the side. Good managers are able to do this. I think with lenny it will come with time. My problem with that interview was that he has usually come out and called things like it is and if that is the way he saw the game then something obviously isn't right.

seriously, as a manager, are you going really going to attack a team that has almost played 90 minutes with 10 men? no you wouldn't. you highlight the positives, go back and work out the problems that the team has at the moment.
for some reason the team is off to a sluggish start to the season. this result and st johnston will have a dramatic effect on the team. i expect to see changes.

 

That interview is absolute bullshit. Celtic were * tonight against a team that came 7th in the Swiss league. He wouldn't make a sub either when the formation was clearly not working.

Tonights game annoyed me more than any other since Neil Lennon took over and that interview just made it worse. I was honestly expecting him to admit we were rank.

 

At times we played like we had 11 and sion 10 and if hoopers goal wasnt offside it may have been a different story werent bad and if anyone is to blame its dan dont make the tackle even if the shot goes in its 11 v 11 with us needing for a international defender hes shockin shoot me now but id rather have loovens but pref rogne
