Tbf mate I dont think its the jibe that is upsetting for many. Its the fact he says they are embarrassing the club etc.

Agreeable or not, I dont think that banner last night was even worthy of much of a mention, never mind the furore it has now caused.

To those who keep saying "after we supported Lenny last year, he turns around and stabs us in the back" what exactly were you supporting before? You say he was an unsuccessful manager so what did you back him for? He wasn't standing up and fighting for the history of this club as far as I remember. He stood against the corrupt SFA, biased refereeing and slanted journalism, all of which favored the huns. Never once did he come out and state his support of these songs or this conflict, in fact on more than one occasion he has come out against it, so what are you surprised when he condemns this behavior now? All the man has done is spoke his mind and what he believes to be fair and good for the club since he's been in charge. That's the reason he came under threats last year, not for supporting the club's Irish heritage. Now he has continued he habit of speaking his mind and standing up for what he sees as the good of the club and many are calling for his head? It's unreal to me that people cannot separate their image of Lenny the revolutionary from what he has actually done in his time as manager. It's a mirror image of Lenny the ginger menace that the red-tops and huns were clinging to last year.
IMHO, folks could do with taking a breather here and letting the dust settle. I've never seen such venom on this forum and it's starting to resemble FF or RM.

We need to try and find a common ground here, the support is split like never before.

I don't know why we can't just live and let live.

The mispelled banner is a dig at the intelligance of these fans not the GB. Lenny has already praised them before.

So if our manager is an open and proud republican is more important than the results?

You're completely full of * mate. I honestly wish you would just shut the * up or * off so as to stop embarrassing yourself with your constant crap and delusional nonsense that spews from your sanctimonious hole.

    Ah, come on.
If people want to play the big man, make the banners, get everyone all worked up, and then they cannot even spell a couple of lines correctly! That is pretty funny...

And it wasnt the first "typo" amongst these rebels. I appreciate they are probably so angry they struggle to concentrate on basic spelling and grammar, but i do not think it helps their "cause". And it is rather funny for the rest of us :86:

I wouldn't call it "sticking the boot in". He has the right to an opinion just like everybody else, except his is often blown out of proportion because of who he is.

Lennon has made it clear that he does not like IRA songs. At the end of the day, he is only looking out for the best interests of the club and their reputation on a worldwide scale. Anyone reading some of the bile posted in here would think that Lennon is a Hun with a vengeful hate for the Green Brigade, which couldn't be any further from the truth.

Lennon does not have personal issues with anyone in the GB. I think his main gripe is that he thinks we should be focusing more on the football, rather than politics.

This site isn't exactly an accurate reflection of our match going support.

If it was indeed then it wouldn't be something I'd be proud of.

That's not accurate either, a deluded view if ever I've seen one.

Celtic would lose an asset if we were to disappear. We'd be far worse off.

Be careful what you wish for.

That's the hard part though isn't it? I'm trying to think what Celtic fans, on a Celtic forum could possibly have in common...

Lennon is right. Everyone who stands by these idiots should shut the * up and take a good look at yourselves. This is an embarrassment not only for the club but the majority of decent Celtic supporters. I'm sick of having to listen to this crap constantly. Enough with the stupid banners, stupid pro-IRA chants and trying to justify them. It makes you look even stupider than you already are.
