Not sure, he was asked if he was interested in Bellamy, he said no. Just speculation, I take that as he's not gonna sign him.

The great thing is we have picked up on players which other teams haven't. I hope it keeps happening because we can then eventually sell them on at a much higher rate, but saying that I wouldn't like to see us lose good player, unfortunately though it is reality that we won't be able to compete with the epl and sometimes the championship.

There will always be space at Celtic for a Roy Keane or a Robbie Keane or a Bellamy or a Given. Whilst Desmond is at the helm and the current board run the club they have been public in their highlighting of this fact.

Not to say Bellamy will or won't sign but just to note that we will always pursue the marquee signings if they become available.

I think as a club, we run our scouting and transfer systems very well, in a professional manner; in stark contrast to our ugly neighbours whose scouting consists of ex-players, northern ireland, bosmans and no mark players with decent agents (such as the spanish fella they signed today)

    i know which i'd prefer

hope i am wrong, and they are not testing the water, but given time i can see this being a dear JOHN Letter starting of as don't know what we need to do to get players to come and play in the SPL, we haven't the money to go for who we would relay love to get, HENCE WE BOUGHT NO ONE.

signing and buying are different, are they not, and should Bellamy come loans deals come to mind, rangers are using there first 5 million from there season tickets. but it so happens they have to use it as a extension and wages, we did not bother our *, when we had the boot on the other foot last year. Celtic as like rangers are playing every year for 10-12million it just so happened the board, did nothing to try and guarantee that we won it. i cant blame any one else for the lackadaisical approach we had, and it was at one time during the open window when we where 5-7 point adrift it still did not give the directors a fright, the year prior was the same, i would say get a decent guy now
and from the champion league money you can, lower the cost to your club.

The policy outlined is absolutely perfect. We should be scouting talent from untapped sources as well as developing our own players. Should definitely be taking advantage of the inflated English market when it comes time to sell.

Aye why not spend 20 million on "superstars" like Jordan Henderson then wait for another wee bunnet to bail us out .

Celtic were gearing to signing players from under developed markets since the day they started to generate extra income from Nakamura's popularity in Japan.

this report, has the Celtic, as the poor me"s we only get 2- 3milion in the spl, but fail to mention it is down to them to fight and provide, with our revenue to win the 10-12miilon bounty, to win anything more in the competition is a bonus, there are only 2 teams in the spl, in contention for the privilege to play in the group stages. no matter what they tell you about other lower league teams getting more money, the fact is they do not have the chance to win in there league, we are a different kettle of fish, we have our own pools going for years, but never to see any money go into the team.
we have more supporters than most, and again our choice of attracting more support is very strange, playing in country's where football ain't all, and be all, we shoot our selfs in the foot, by getting beat. there are CELTIC SUPPORTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD,but when it comes to give the support anything, it all falls down to the biscuit tin.
and at times we are dished up with the poorest deals going. pay peanuts you end up with monkeys. if you all think like the board that we have a team just now to win the leauge next year. Dream on.
