Our club always takes too long to make a change then tries to change too much at once. Whether it's the players or the manager that needs changing, something needs changing now.

Yet MON and GS could not achieve victory away. Maybe they did not realise they were in an underdog situation away in Europe and that is why the constantly failed to achieve victory.

No read any of this one. He'll leave when he's not wanted. He's one of us, always has been, always will be. * bless Neil Lennon :celt_2:

Everything has got too settled, i'm not saying it is necessarily him that has to go, but something needs to change.

We are in the middle of rebuilding a team that had it's spine ripped out in the summer, especially with Hooper, for three years our full team was based around him, all our play went through him and he started and finished most of our attacking moves.

We haven't replaced that yet, Lenny is rebuilding from that. Something will change but as soon as we suffer a wee set back we can't be thinking about changing the management, Lenny has at least earned himself that right.

Obviously circumstances could change, but considering we will win 4IAR at the very least, I'm disappointed more couldn't have stated a more specific point of view. Jokey comments like "2062", "When he wins the Champions League" and even comments like "a very long time" or "as long as he likes" don't really contribute to the debate.

Remember, this isn't predicting WHEN he will actually leave Celtic but when you WANT him to go.

If you voted for 2017 and onwards, fair enough. But as Sean Daleer stated, at least explain why you think so because you simply want him every season we continue to win the title and perhaps aim for 10IAR. Likewise if you want him gone in the summer of 2015 like I have, explain why there. Perhaps it's because no Celtic manager should realistically stay longer for 4/5 years, as is the theory of managers having a shelf life.

Almost every manager in the world has a certain shelf life though.

I agree that he's earned the right to be given the chance to rebuild and get going again though, I don't want him to leave, not one bit, but if we're gonna continue to play the same mundane * we have been for the last 6 months i'll probably change my mind. I hope he can turn it around and get a decent attacking style of football going again.

I don't see how it's possible to say when you want a manager to leave, unless it's at the present time. So until that day comes, I can't fathom out how anyone can put a timescale on the matter. Some people might want him out just now, but if he is still here in a few years, they might not have the same opinion. Likewise if it's the other way about. You talk about managers having a shelf life, did Alex Ferguson have a shelf life?

Realistically, I would want Lennon here until he retires, I'm happy with the job he has done, and is doing just now. So at this moment in time, I'm content with the manager, and as long as that continues, I will always want him here. But I couldn't put a timescale on it, because opinions change.

Some managers don't have a shelf life, Alex Ferguson certainly didn't.

Can only comment on the now with both Managers and Players. He's doing a good job and I hope he stays for at least another couple of seasons.

I cant see how I can just pinpoint a year when I want him to go? If we lose the league this season I'll want him to go! :smiley-laughing002:

I don't think he should leave, but I think he will leave at the end of the season.

People who want Lennon to leave are a bunch of spoiled wee dicks who have clearly forgot how toothless and pathetic Celtic were before he came in. He will have to leave one day though and when that day comes (hopefully not for a long time) I would like to see Owen Coyle get the job. Good experienced manager. He made the right decision not coming to Celtic when he had the chance as he has done not bad in England. I hope he gets his shot.

I think he will have one more go at trying to win a Treble next season and get CL football again. That would be great on his CV - 3 CL qualifications in a row + fucknos how many trophies by then 6/7/8 or something? if he wanted a decent job after us. But after that I could see him leaving in 18 months as there's little else he could do apart from go round in circles.

If he did leave id like to see him go for a foreign job, like a Dutch team or German team. UK style managers could do great in the Dutch League by playing "our" style football in a League where most teams play openly - even Steve McClaren won the League with Twente. Lennon could do a job for Feyenoord or a German team like Stuttgart/Werder/Wolfsburg. As it would be * to see him at a club like Fulham or Sunderland.

I want him to stay as long as he brings success to the club. By that I mean winning league titles domestically and having a good go of it in Europe.
