Probably Jackie Mac I'd have thought. Wouldn't mind seeing it but I hope not for many years!

If McNamara continues the way he is going at Utd, then I think it will be him that gets it. But a lot can happen in a short space of time in football.

Just seen the team that was put out last night, absolutely baffling and shambolic.

I see Lennon says some of the players were "half-hearted"? He wants to have a right good look at himself.

The English championship awaits you, Lenny.............

The point made earlier in the thread re January transfer window expenditure is a good one actually. A sure sign will be that if Lenny is backed by the board with a few million spent, then he will be here fro another season (bar Euro elimination at the hand of some * Latvian posties in July.)

Fail to spend anything, and it may well be a sign that a chat has been held somewhere.

For me, too often now we are getting comments from Lenny the likes of last night's...
to many players didn't perform/turn up or not what we expect when they wear the shirt, or didn't show up in the 1st half so we changed things or laid it down at half time (my interpretation of what he's said)...
and then he goes and plays most if not all of the same players in the next/next but one games. I think, and I really want to be proven wrong because of what he has given to the Club as a player and a Manager, he either has or is on the verge of losing the dressing room. Either way he should leave in January to get another Manager in before next season's qualifiers...our 1st one is mid-July. We also need change in personnel on the field in January, eg Sammy, Joe, Fraser ( Fraser too good for us in our League) and a new Captain... for me it has to be Lustig, that is if we can keep him. After this season's CL it will be even more difficult to bring in quality because who will want to come and play for a team from Glasgow who has no competition in the SPFL and gets stuffed in Europe.
Really want to be proven wrong on all counts.

Are we assuming that the board will open the vault for someone else? If they aren't willing to back Lennon they won't back the next guy.

Also, going by the views and actions of this current board I shudder to think who the next guy would be.

If they don't do it for Lennon, then they sure as * wont do it for the next manager - probably someone like Owen Coyle.

Why would the board give him money in January? For what? To canter the SPL like we are already doing?
I'll be extremely surprised if we sign anyone in January that isn't a free or a pre-contract.

In fact we may even sell.

Maybe the next manager they get won't be so willing to sit on a pedestal for Lawell and be his little puppet.

Maybe the next manager will say, ''Hold on a * minute, we just lost arguable our two best players, we need suitable replacements''.

Lastly, maybe our next manager won't slate his own fans at any given opportunity. Or players for that matter. Stokes being publically slated by Lennon because he attended a friends funeral.

Do you honestly believe that Lawwell is going to hire a manager who would do that?

And how do you know that Lennon isn't already having discussions like that with Lawwell? Just because he doesn't let the Daily record know about it?

I can tell by the way Lennon slates the fans he is in the palm of his hands. It isn't him talking, it's him repeating what Lawell tells him to say.

But you do have a point, Lawell wouldn't hire a manager like that. That's why we need him punted to ASAP. It's up to the fans now, we need to stand together to make this happen. Not divide into for the board and against the board camps.

Are you ignoring the praise Lenny also gives us? Or the way he planted the trophy infront of the Green Brigade?

Lenny's his own man, his own opinions. I don't agree with him, I see where he's coming from but I believe he is 100% wrong and he of all people should know that.

Well if it is his own opinions that is just as bad. Never have I seen a worse comment than the 'my heart sank' one directed towards our fans by any Celtic manager in recent years.

If the Green Brigade ever come back to Parkhead it will only be to tell Lennon to * off. One minute he praises him the next he slates them. Happened since the beginning. There was * all wrong with the banner and he could have just kept his mouth shut but instead comes out with one of the most embarrassing comments against our support that I can remember from a Celtic manager.

I also stand by my opinion that any discussion he's ever had with Lawwell over signing or selling players will remain behind closed doors. He's not the type to moan like * to the likes of Hugh Keevins.
