He has experience, but there's a reason he's currently without a club. If Lennon does go, which I hope he doesn't, we need a proper experienced manager. :50:

First off I was one of roy's biggest fans as a player but he is one terrible manager!! when at Sunderland he spent massive money on VERY average players, something like £80 million on 39 players!! the only decent player he signed was kenyne Jones! and similar to Gordan Strachons style of transfer dealings, when roy joined ipswich as manger he signed alot of players who flopped under him at sunderland!! now secondly neil lennon is still our manager and we should support him, the season is far from over! we've had a few setbacks but we will find form and bounce back, its better for us to be struggling at the start of the season than at the end of the season!!

Definitely. That's been my argument from the start; I can't stand people coming out with the "Neil Lennon GTF" comments without putting any thought in to what happens after Neil Lennon. What manager with the neccessary experience is going to want this job? It is also a very frustrating situation for the club to be in at this time because you can essentially argue every single point could work in our favour or against us.

My view is that if a new man comes in, he is going to want to stamp his own mark on the team. That means going through all the clearing out of players the new manager doesn't want whilst integrating any new faces that they decide to bring with them (providing the board allows this). This basically means we could be possibly 10 or so points behind Rangers going in to the new year and trying to gel together a new set of players which doesn't very often have a great instant impact. In saying that though, if the league is over now, and a new man does come in with his own players and ideas, it gives him 5/6 months to gel the new players in to the team and get the team playing how he wants them to with relatively little pressure because the fans won't be expecting much. Although another thing you could argue within the same point is that it seems pretty obvious Rangers are more consistent because they have a lot more consistency as a side, and they have been playing together as a unit for a long old time now with the exception of a couple of new faces, so changing management and playing staff would just be playing in to Rangers hands again. Sometimes though a freshen up and a spring clean is what's required to get going and sometimes you have to start again from scratch.

Like I said I think it's a very frustrating situation to be in, I could literally keep going round in circles all day long trying to come up with a solution to our problems. With every positive that comes with change I see a negative and vice versa. Anyone on this forum could say a change would be good/bad for whatever reason and in 99% of cases I think you could counter it.

At the end of the day we have to accept that, wrongly or rightly, the decision making is out of our hands. You can argue all you want that we keep the club going by buying this and buying that so we should have a say, but really we don't. The decision making is down to those running the club and they are not always going to get it right, but we should be supporting the team and club regardless. It's easy to call yourself a supporter when we're in Seville playing in UEFA Cup finals; it's times like these that every true fan's loyalty and patience is truely tested, but all true fans past that test, and all true fans will be sat here typing away when the good times come once again, knowing that they stuck by their team and their club and the success they are experiencing at that point is only reward for their loyalty and something that they truely deserve. We all go on about things being the "Celtic way" and people needing to be "Celtic minded"; turning your back on the club and a man that put his life at risk to be a part of Celtic and getting bitter and twisted about everything is not the "Celtic way", not to me anyway. It's the loyalty of our fans and our ability to pull together throughout all the bad times and party together through all the good tiimes that seperates us from the manky mob and that's what makes me proud to be a Tim, not all this Neil Lennon GTF nonsense. Leave the in fighting to the inbred monsters at Ibrox. We'll see how loyal their fans are and how they, as a club, handle everything when they start realising their "club" is falling to pieces at the seams; the same thing we went through not really that long ago, but we survived it, and we'll survive this.
Cos we are Celtic supporters, faithful through and through, over and over we will follow you! :shamrock:

RK has the worse man-management skills in the game, if you want to destroy any confidence that's left in this team then he's your man

i can see what you mean but is fat sally a tactical genius? i don't think so but is he able to motivate all his players? yes he is. you do not need to be a tactical genius to be a success is this league. i'm not saying that we should sack lennon and get keane but i don't think we need to get a manger who is more tactician than motivator.

i would prefer lennon to stay and turn things round, and win the league.
keane is a similar style of manager to lennon, all passion and fear factor, ( old skool)
if we do change manager, we need someone with great man management skills and a proven track record of working a miracle on a shoe string. Step forward Ian Holloway!

He steps foot in the dugout and i wont step foot in Celtic Park again absolute * of a manager and a man.

The board will probably think the same muppets that could never accept our most successful manager since Stein because he wasn't "Celtic Minded" will accept Keane because he's Irish sad thing is some will but i would like to think they have come to the conclusion i did 4 years ago loosing WGS a man that gave us 3 titles in a row and European nights we will probably never see again was treat like an enemy and * by some "fans" when WGS left it was the start of the road to the the bottomless pit.

Now look where we are Roy * Keane as the bookies tip and no doubt the boards cheap wet dream.

    Thanks but no thanks.
