Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura insists he has no intention of leaving the Bhoys after insisting he is "very happy" to stay at Parkhead.
The midfielder, 28, has been dogged by rumours of being unsettled in Scotland since his arrival at Parkhead in the summer of 2005.
He was linked with a move to Spain, before most recently refuting rumours that he was keen on a return to his native Japan.
Nakamura - who is contracted to Celtic until 2008 - has been a huge hit both in the Scottish Premier League and the Champions League this season.
And he sees no reason why he would want to quit the champions elect.
"I'm very happy at Celtic," he said. "I have good players around me and, if I think I can go on improving, I would definitely stay.
"I've learned from the Champions League and I think we have a greater chance of going forward in that competition in the future.
"The fans also help the players to improve here."
Discuss Nakamura slams Hoops exit talk in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.

good news, getting sick of the way that the media constantly try to make us think that our best players are leaving.
every week there is something new, whether its nakamura moving to spain, boruc to england, riordan to germany....et cetera. -

If he's only contracted till 2008, we better get him tied up for a few more years as I don't want one of our best players leaving for nout ala liam miller.
Great news that he feels he can better himself by staying with the hoops tho! :50:

I guess we have to take it as a good thing that our players are linked with other clubs, it means they are playing well. How many Rangers players are linked with big clubs? -

He signed a new deal in the summer which keeps him here till 2009.

sign him up till at least 2010

Totally agree. Naka staying is good news. Now we need to tie the big man up to a long term contract and then the English meeja can leave us alone.

BEFORE I SAY ANYHTING - I ADMIRE NAKA AND WANT HIM TO STAY
But this seems to have the same ring about it as Petrov who was all hyped up to leave , then he signed a new contract , then left?
