Your analysis isnt accurate, as you dont understand his role in the game. Juninho was so far out, so you stand off and invite a shot, it went in through a goal keeping error. :87:

Goal 3 mate, try again. I understand his role, don't worry. That included his tracking back with the full back, he didn't bother, leaving Gilberto one on one with all the time in the world.

hes a wide man for me unless youve got a 5 man midfield, if not, keep him wide where he can dance about when he likes. iv never fancied hmi as a centre mid to be honest

Right then if what your saying's true then half the Brazilian team should have been subbed aswell. Did Ronaldinho or Kaka even cross the line back into there own half, I can probably count the fingers on one hand the times they did. The game passed the whole Japanese team by not just Nakamura. It's not the first team Brazil have done it too and it wont be the last so lay of Naka. Personally i thought he had an ok game he never wasted a pass and was making space to receive the ball.

Any player can be world class at that, there is no test at all in that. World class players can do the business when under pressure. Nakamura cant. Producing the goods when you have no time on the ball is the measure of a good player.

He's not the great player some people think he is.

I really don't see how you can slate Naka on that game. He kept play going, never wasted a pass and if you actually watch you'll notice he was constantly moving.

Now, if I remember correctly he was moved a number of times. One of those times he was moved to the left to help remove the space Cicinho as he was getting some success down the flank.

If I remember correctly, each time Naka had the ball in attack he never wasted it apart from one time when he maybe should have had a shot on goal in the last minute. There were 11 men on there for Japan.

One more thing to note, Nakata's distribution was shocking. He gave two passes direct to Brazilian midfielders that resulted in instant attacks for Brazil. So don't go blaming Naka when Nakata etc were all at fault. You also have to remember one of Naka's main talents is his crossing which was basically lost on the Japan team last night since they played so deep.

dunno how you can say he is *, there is nobody in the celtic team that even comes close to having the same amount of ability that naka has.

I am in total agreement with Joe on this one even if you forget bout the Brazillian game he was ineffective in both other group games apart from a lucky free kick..

The reason Ronaldinho and Kaka dont have to track back is because, that Brazillian side are so good going forward that no matter how many goals you get they are gonna score more thats why their the best in the world another thing if Naka is such a genius going forward and by Rymo's comments Ronaldinho and Kaka never went back why did he not have more joy in their half without their midfield tracking back..

I personally think Naka is a smashing talent and you shouldnt be comparing a player who struggles to get a game for Bolton(Nakata) or inamoto to him but it was clear for all to see that he didnt stand out from any other Japanise player in this world cup..

He didn't have much joy simply because Japan were so deep. teams panic when playing Brazil and sit back allowing Brazil to come forward. If Brazil play Argentina or even England, they'll not have things all their own way.

Naka is not of Ronaldinho class. I don't think we believe that he is for one second but who is of that class. Naka is a good player though. I think Dempsey said all players can look like stars when they have time on the ball but I'd definately disagree. Not all players have the talent to create time on the ball and a lot are inept at using it.

What most people here seem to want is a Moravcik who got stuck in and did the business at the other end as well. hard to find these players though. Nedved is another that fits that profile.

i think some of you need a reality check. we are celtic and we are just a average european side. We arent going to attract players like ronaldinho or any other world beaters to the club. players like naka are the best level of player we are likely to attract to the club, we arent going to get better players in our team because we arent a great team.

When you think of the "great" Lampard and Beckhams performances against Paraguay, T+T and Sweden. If we had them on our books then I'd worry more
