If the ban hasn't been set yet I bet the SFA will be creaming themselves to give him a hefty ban once he becomes a Celtic player.

Ah well clean slate, hope he does well. Only really see Scottish teams when they play us. Is he better than Griffiths?

So we've had a bid accepted for certain, Dundee United have released that. We are now in the process of taking up personal terms with Çiftçi. Whilst the thread title still says 'No Link'

Can someone change it ffs, it looks ridiculous.

Two totally different players - Griffiths plays better feeding off someone, Ciftci better suited to playing the lone role.

It's a parody account. Sevco Headline Generator.

Well..... it could be the SS/DR headline generator in actual fact. I'm sure they must lift their stories from it :smiley-laughing002:

I'm looking forward to this big * signing. About time we had a decent physical presence up front.
Also remember Hartson came here with a lot of baggage. I'm sure if the guy is willing Ronny will make it work.

Only thing that i don't like is his agent is Big Pierre.

That last part....I said either yesterday or the day before I can see future difficulties with this guy's attitude as soon as interest from England transpires at some point in the future.

    I hope I'm wrong, but.......

Realise that he's different to Griffiths but do you think he'll make us a better team? Genuine question mate, not having a go at Ciftci :50:

That was my point about Ciftci being a target from the start. Any time Deila's been asked about a new striker he hasn't said higher quality etc etc. he's said he wants variety.

As a player? Yes. We have been lacking a forward who can introduce a bit of physical play to our front line since Hooper left. Ciftci can hold up the ball, is decent in the air (iirc), decent link up play, good burst of pace, can produce that moment of magic, has a nasty streak which MAY be useful when playing against bullyish opposition, and is a decent/good goalscorer. Not as prolific as Griffiths, but as a player - he will be a most welcome addition to the team.

Either the new no.7 or no.9

    He's a number 9 if I've ever saw one.

Literally the only downside to this is his temper, which you've got to put your trust in Ronny that he can handle him.

If/when this goes through, he will have 3 different forwards with 3 different attributes in style.

    Cifcti - see above description
Griffiths - like a wee jack russell, he's everywhere.....likes to play on the shoulder
Scepovic - gets into decent space waiting for the scraps.

It is really. Works perfectly into Deila's rotational policy, gives us options, will help keep overall fitness of the squad up.

He's also a good player. At least Griffiths level.

Biggest fears for me is that his nasty stteak ia not channeled properly, and his attitude when interest from outside arrives (see van Hooijdonk as agent....)
