Would like to see this guy in the hoops...it's always good to have a bit of attitude and swagger plus a bit of dig in the team, it unsettles other teams players. Take broony out the team and we lack a bit of that. I think Ronny can bring this guy on and after all that's his remit. We are no longer buying established players with a wealth of experience. Get him in and get him scoring and he could be the big striker were looking for.

 

He could surprise us all.

At least in Ciftci, we will potentially have a player who the fans wont say "doesnt put himself about enough".
When was the last time we had a striker who gave us a real physical edge, and was effective?
His height alone gives the option to mix things up a bit in a passing sense.

Griffiths is the same height as Ciftci and just as strong - and much faster as well as being by far a better goalscorer. He'd be a decent backup option though.

Celtic have already turned their attention to Nadir Ciftci but there is no chance of a late bid for long-time target Jelle Vossen, who has agreed terms with Burnley. The English side said they were confident about striking a deal with the Belgian striker and it looks like the move is all but done and dusted. The fee is believed to be in the region of £3m.

Looks like clifti is the only realistic player we will bring in before the champions league qualifiers

Griffiths looks a better finisher, Ciftci looks like a more skilled player. Would provide good competition for each other.

 

It's well-noted that he only turns up when he wants to, and his strike-rate is sub-par.
