Dow is a much better player than Connolly, and I doubt he'd get on our bench in front of Forrest, commons, Armstrong,Gms, Johansen, stokes. That rules him out for me..
What are the press going on, * that cheat against us or * that cheat against us and try to injure our captain? :smiley-laughing002: Who next, Paul Paton in to coax Zaluska in to staying at Celtic park:rolleyes:

All that aside though, I don't doubt we are maybe keeping tabs on one or two, considering how well the two new boys have done and how cheap we can get business done on our doorstep. I also think regardless of wether we snap any of them up, they will be offski as it's a club on the slip and I think the first off will be Jackie and his staff..

Both wee diving shitebags, though I quite liked Dow before the games against us. That wee * Connolly you can tell he thinks he's better than he is, needs a * haircut as well looked like an emo running about the pitch on Sunday with his hair flopping over his face :smiley-laughing002:

Or, we could spend less than double the money, and maybe sign a player of the quality of Gary Hooper.

Aye, both not needed, dow is a decent player though..
Connolly will be of that same standard in a couple years I reckon, was at queens park so it's not hard to work out what team he supports and what he'd do for a move here:bbpd:

Out of all their players that Sptial has looked decent, runs non-stop and good ability on the ball. But am done with us being linked with United players, we should be looking elsewhere for Strikers and Wingers.

He has potential Connonlly he is only 19, Spital came from Queens Park as well, also only 19.

It's gonna be Souter as we will need centre halves.

I want to know how we missed players like Gauld at Brechin City and Robertson at Queens Park. It's players like Robertson, Henderson, Armstrong and Gauld who should be coming through our academy. Our recruitment in that area needs to improve.

Buying them from United is expensive (too expensive in some cases). We should trying to beat them to it.

Quite like Ciftci. Strong with a good shot but the thing that I would worry about is that he is quite lazy

Robertson did but we let him go at 15 for being too small.
You never know how players are going to turn out and the likes of Robertson and Gauld get a better chance of 1st team football at teams like United than here since the competition level is not as high.

Dundee United have great scouts for youngsters, we are looking at guys a bit older and give a chance to prove themselves here if they never got their move to England. It's not as straight forward as you're making it out to be.

They just were not good enough before utd for us. Then first team football at utd has brought them on, a thing we cannot afford to do.

Starting to like the idea of it myself.:smiley-laughing002:

Watched some Youtube videos of him (I know) and he is perfect for the way we play. Faster than I thought as well.

I'm not saying they were good enough for our first team but Ryan Gauld and Andrew Robertson were light years ahead of anyone coming through our academy.

I think that's a cop out. Barcelona bring through the best players in Catalonia and the competition couldn't be higher. Likewise Ajax in the Netherlands. The loan system is always there for first team football and player development. The fact is that Dundee United have consistently identified young players with very high potential and given them the opportunity to develop - something we might be better placed to do once we have a leaner squad.

It's not a case of simply giving players game time, the talent has to be there in the first place and in a lot of cases, we're not recognising it.

    Souttar I think.

Souttar was magnificent in the defensive midfielder role against us on Sunday for Dundee United,, and can also play centre back, young, tall and strong, we should definitely sign him before someone else snaps him up, as he is a star in the making.

Feyenoord bring through the best in the Netherlands recently. Think at that last world cup something like 6 of the players came from Feyenoord. Janmaat, de Vrij, Martins-Indi, Kongolo, Fer, Clasie, Wijnaldum, de Guzman and van Persie all came from the Feyenoord youth team 9 out the 23 players actually. Then now Rekik and van Beek other Feyenoord products make the squad now too.

Ajax id say are one of the best at snatching 15-17 year olds from other clubs like Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Eriksen, de Jong, van der Wiel, Boilesen, Fischer and that.

Yeah he was highly impressive on Sunday. Has some weaknesses in his game still but think he could make it here.

I don't want him at Celtic, specially for 3 million. He is a talentless thug and though this sort of elbowing bully striker often works it's most of the time just a disgrace to watch. He is no better than Pukki and the board should by now have learned a lesson about not buying second rate strikers and hope they will turn into Ibrahimovic by magic.

I wouldn't like him at Celtic . Too many off the ball incidents and generally comes across as a sleekit thug . Remember there was the charge against him off putting an assistant referee in a stranglehold . He just can't help himself , or so it seems . I'd like to think we could unearth a cheaper striker than him .
