    No idea why we are still persuing this biter, while Vossen seems to be off the radar.

    Ciftci scored one goal every three games for Dundee United. Which is unremarkable. Prior to that he hardly ever scored for any team, according to Wikipedia. So what would he bring to our team-..?

    But!

    GMS and Armstrong know him extremely well, and they must have recommended him highly for some reason.

    2M seems extremely excessive though for a non-scoring striker who bites.

    Let Boro have him.

    Decent player, but not what we need. We need a proper, clinical finisher, but players like that are tough to find for the amount money we can spend.

    I like Ronny's style when it comes to communicating with players and sorting the bad ones out, but some people just don't want to be "sorted out" (I'm not saying Ciftci is one of them). Good thing about Ciftci would be that he knows well GMS and Armstrong, he wouldn't have many problems when it comes to adapting to our team. He's also familiar to Scottish style of football, he posses good technique, but he comes back deep to much for my liking. That can be a good thing because he can involve other players into the game, maybe that's what Ronny wants.

    DU are demanding crazy cash for him, he's not that good (yet). Still, signing him would make more sense than spending serious cash on players like Balde, Pukki, Bangura. At least with Ciftci you know what you get.

    Came along the bottom of SSN there that he wants a move to us according to 'Sky sources' whoever those people actually are. We already knew that though.

    On the subject of signing another striker, I think Scepovic will go out onloan before the end of August. I don't think he is a bad player but don't think he has the mentality or grit to cut it here. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong.

    Hopefully because otherwise it's another £2.5m down the pan.

    Don't rate him at all ,is he any better than scepovic (who is useless). Looks like we will be * about spending 1 million here and there Hoping someone turns out to be Luis Suarez so we can sell them.what the actual * just sign a good striker instead of throwing good money after bad with guys like this
