Different kind of player. With Ciftci Griffiths and Scepovic you have three very different strikers a lot of depth in that line up also Griffiths and Cifcti can play in the three behind so that's a bonus.

Write Scepovic off at your peril but his movement is the best out of those three and given the chance he will score goals in this Celtic team he just needs to mould himself into a specimen that can give as good as he gets off of Scottish defences something Guidetti was * at.

We just need to send our team of painters and decorators up to Tannadice to decorate the way we have done to St Mirren's ground :56:

Agree with the Scepovic runs, he is more suited to a front two IMO.

Yes I agree think he can hold the ball up well and bring other players into play but he is ideally suited to playing off someone or having someone play off him the way Johansen did in an advanced role in a couple of games they played together this season.

When they've not had a really sustained run in the team you judge them on what you see. Scepovic scored 6 goals in 6 starts last season, including 2 in 4 in the Europa League.

He also gets into a myriad of scoring positions and has good movement.

That makes you think that he'd be capable in the long term.

Unfortunately that's couple with not getting involved enough in the actual football being played.

No, it's not meaningless. A 1 in 2 goalscoring rate in Europe is good for us, even if it's just 4 games. You judge him on what you see, attributes like that are good to judge him on.

He might not make it but he still gets into the right goalscoring areas that makes you think he is a goalscorer. His record at his club before us would back that up.

I don't think he'll win a first team place but I do think he's shown enough that I wouldn't be worried if he needed to play a string of games. A season to get acclimitised is allowable, just look at Kelvin Wilson.

Scepovic would probably score 20-30 goals for us if he played as the main striker for a full season, so would Stokes or Griffiths and probably even Ciftci but the main thing is the need to bring other people into play and lead the line well enough to let the team function well and for the other 3 attackers playing behind them get goals.

I'm sure he can play on the wings as well and behind the striker so he offers flexibility and cover but also good enough to challenge the first team.

We have * all , Leigh Griffiths is a decent little goalscorer but aside from that we have nothing up top , and certainly no physical presence to speak of . We are crying out for a player like this .

All along I always saw the stand off as merely trying to drive the price up.
