Can anyone be worse in that respect than Leigh Griffiths the racist shop lifter?

I'd be interested to know what his stats were in the first half of the season before we stole Armstrong & GMS and United generally took a nosedive.

 

i hope he does sign and proves a lot of people wrong, he is exactly the type of player we need.

 

for footballing reasons ? as your using his goal scoring record against him, or do you think he is a * like the rest seem to.

 

im not going to defend what he has said/sung. but i wouldnt class him outright as racist, just very stupid in those instances.

the same with the shoplifting (allegedly, was it actually a charge...i cant remember)

both these of things are the stupid impulsive kind of things that a lot of young guys can find themselves doing without it necessarily being a true reflection of their character.

biting people and kicking people in the head on a football pitch (and allegedly spitting on someone, assaulting a match official) is not something the same amount of people can find themselves doing. thats what i meant by being on a different level

The reason that I want him is purely down to his style of play which I think suits our set up perfectly.

I don't think he needs to score 35 goals a season as long if the front 4 positions are getting 80 or 90+ between them. He is perfect for bringing others into play and can interchange seamlessly with the 3 positions behind him.

He is the only guy I've seen make Van Dijk break a sweat which is a big compliment to him. He's powerful and can pick a pass.

and as for the step up from what we have, who can play better than him with there back to goal in our currant squad ?? or even as a loan striker for that matter, as i dont think we have anyone who can do it as well as i believe he could with us.

 

That's funny because I would actually use the same argument but come out with the complete opposite opinion

I would say that getting involved in a heavy tackle and lashing out is a lot more impulsive than taking the time to write out a tweet.

I also agree that Griffiths isn't actually racist by the way but I just think it's a double standard since Griffiths has been largely forgiven for his misdeeds.

 

understand that m8 and im not having a go at you, only thing that puts me off him is if he gets the 8 game ban, also believe in a winning team he would be less frustrated at times, not that it makes it ok for some things he has done in the past, but we all make mistakes.

 

16 goals, 9 assists in 42 games for Dundee United suggests he'd do a job for us but is he worth the money? If it was anything over a million I'd say no

 

does he even want to come but ?? imo cifti would walk to parkhead to get the move done, that also is a factor in how much a player is wanting a move.
