I don't doubt he'd score goals in Scotland for us but we need someone with a bit of European stage class.

I am in agreement with Koke.
I touted Ciftci earlier in the season as he is just what we need, and everything that Scepovic is not.
You won't get a better and more physical target man anywhere for £1.5M.
And I am sure Ciftci would learn to channel all his aggression and impetuousness in the right direction under Ronny and John.
Moving on Scep and getting in Ciftci would be an important upgrade for us before we start next year's Champions League Qualifiers.

It'd be a shame to see one of the better sides in Scotland reduced to nothing. They'll have lost Robertson, Gauld, Russell, Armstrong, Mackay-Steven, Allan and Çiftçi and they haven't come close to replacing any of them.

True mate but we had a lot of debt, in a far better financial state now though and the young talent is still coming through,

Ali Coote breaking into team now is a rising star, no doubt about it.
Scott Smith and Scott Fraser, two young lads been out on loan to Forfar and Airdrie and will be pushing for a start next season.
Harry Souttar, (Johns young brother) is tipped to be better than his sibling and at 16 yrs old is already 6'6" and a very skilful defender.

I have watched these lads progress and I would say that Coote and young Souttar are the picks of the bunch, Coote could be better than Armstrong.

Not good enough to take us to the next level. We have all we need to win the league do no need to get another bang average striker.

Be better looking at there coaching setup. They seem to have a conveyor belt of decent young players coming through while we struggle badly even with better facilities, much higher revenue and a far greater scouting network.

Edit - Greater, as in size not quality.

Having thought about this again, I'd take him for £2m or less. He's better than any of our strikers at holding up the ball and he's quick into the bargain.

Look for better first but if that can't happen then Ciftci could do the job.

I think Cathro, the assistant manager at Valencia, had the biggest influence on their youth set-up.

Big Pierre is his agent, not for me, but would he be an improvement to the squad in Ronny's opinion????

He has admitted scepovic has issues, Guidetti is offski, pukki, balde and the fridj should follow, stokes could go also in the summer if decent money comes in.

Not for me but like all of us on here we ain't the celtic manager and at the end of the day its Ronny and his scouting department who sign the players and the scouts record with stikers since 2010 isn't great

    Murphy
    Rasmussen
    Miku
    Brozek
    Pukki
    Bangura
    Balde
    Fridjonsson
    Scepovic
Lassad - even though he had the best goals/assists to minutes ratio the season he was here - granted he hardly played but I remember some tidy finishes.

They seem to be able to spot a midfielder, defender but not a striker....

I don't rate him any better than Griffiths. In fact I'd rather have Griffiths before him.

If we're buying players then we should be looking to buy better than what we have.

We already have a slow, temperamental, huffy as * striker who doesn't score goals that much thanks.

Although maybe he will go to Feyenoord and we have space to buy another one.

    No thanks.

Decent with the ball at his feet lazy off it and greedy, also bit of a temper. I'll pass.

Jim Spence is saying we are interested in another United player, from what he hears.

    I'd hazard a guess that it's Souttar.

Hopefully it's no Czerniak or Ciftci.
