Cifcti no thanks, if he is what we are aiming for it shows a lack of ambition...half decent in spl but come on we have stokes and grithiths who are well better than him, wanna see us have a really good striker for a change

Ciftci is decent but what's the point in bringing in a centre forward who isn't better than Griffiths ?

We'd be as well going with Griffiths next season with Scepovic and Stokes as backup if we aren't going to sign some real quality.

Dudu Dahan suggested on a few occasions that Damari wanted to sign for us did he not? I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember something about him stalling on a contract because he was expecting an offer from us.

    Did I disagree?

You can't criticise any of our signings then, as by that logic, any signing we make is the best we could have hoped for.

The fact that Damari and Hosiner left clubs lesser than Celtic for clubs lesser than Celtic, for negligible fees, suggests to me that they would have been interested in a move to Celtic. As for Vossen, he's indicated that he might be open to a move here, for a similar fee to what will be required to bring Çiftçi in and he has certainly shown a lot more interest publicly in moving to Celtic than Çiftçi ever has.

Very high potential if Ronny can take him to the next level. He's got all the attributes to be the perfect loan front man. Granted he's an * but if we can shake that out of him then why not?

At the same time, having Ciftci, Griffiths and Scepovic as our striking options doesn't sound awfully inspiring for Europe just now and bringing in another striker wouldn't really make sense, 4 strikers competing for one striking position?

Although I do believe Scepovic deserves more of a chance, can see him having a good season.

I agree with you with this but I would rather Vossen or ideally Jonathas but I do think Cifcti has the potentially to really suprise a few on here. If Deila could have a Griffiths-esque turn around with him in terms of fitness and that then he will be a handful for alot of defences and I would include Europe.

Nowhere near as good as Griffiths in my opinion, wouldn't be anywhere near a Celtic starting XI. Plus, hasn't he got a ban that would rule him out of a good amount of games at the beginning of next season? He's a liability.

I hope we arent seriously chasing this guy.
He is a liability regards discipline.
Not even comparable to Griffiths who has/had off field antics to sort out - which can be worked on. But this guy is actually a scummy * on the park. Kicking players in the head, biting opponents etc.
Not what we need at celtic to represent us. And no where near good enough to gloss over that aspect of it.

What we have at celtic is better than him, and our youngsters deserve the chance a million miles ahead of him.
We need someone who is the level above what we currently have.

We are. A bid has gone in , quotes from Collins comfirming we have made the approach. 900 grand , the cheap option as always as vossen would cost over 2.5 m.

Disappointed in this move, we are going for the cheap option yet again, when you have a guy like Vossen available for around 2-2.5 million.

Really not what I'd hoped for. In saying that Guidetti, Balde and Pukki away so maybe he ain't the only striker we are after.

I don't think we will sign two strikers tbh.

Vossen's supposed to be available for £2.2m and Middpesbrough are supposed to be tabling a £1.7m bid for Çiftçi, so I don't think he's neccessarily going to be the cheap option. United don't want to sell to us either.
