I would be very if we signed him, I think he is quality. Skills vision and technique, he would add to attacking line

John Collins confirmed on SSN that we've made an approach for Ciftci. He wouldn't comment on either Vossen or Janko though, saying it was 'disrespectful' to speculate about players at other clubs.

I did think that myself :smiley-laughing002:

He did seem a bit more willing to talk about Ciftci, basically praising his attributes and saying that he liked him, but seemingly didn't want to get drawn into a conversation about Janko or Vossen.

    Strange.

Interesting though, I'd have thought if a deal for Janko was close he'd be more open to discussing it.

Can't believe this is actually happening. Making me question some things.

I will only accept this signing if Scott Brown kicks him in the head at his unveiling.

Again it's not all that exciting, but I can see why we'd be after him.

Same, the way he plays is perfect for our system. If he can take us to a different level is arguable but he's good at the lone striker role.

I'm totally 50/50 on this now.

On the one hand, I think he's a complete donut. His behaviour is walloper-esque all too often and I could imaging him being another Guidetti character in getting a move to a club like ours. So yeah, *.

On the other, with Ronny and JC and quality players around him, maybe he could do a job and surprise a lot of us. Intrigued to see how many goals he could bag. Plus, his hold up play is decent.

Aye he's fairly quick, strong, tricky, decent passer too. I'm not sure how many he'd score but I wouldn't be totally against this.

    He's a handful.

When I saw these stats that cookie provided, I was quite impressed..

He's a * but he does have talent. Could he improve us, maybe. I'm not as against it as I have been..

    Guys a complete *....

(Rumours of Celtic putting in an offer)

....but then again Ronny knows better and can do a job on him, probably.

    (Collins confirms interest)

Actually, thinking more about it, this guys a right handful for defenders and knows where the net is. All we need to do is channel his aggression in the right way and he'll be a roaring success, lets sign this boy up!

12 hours in TC (and also my personal opinion too) :50:

The biggest compliment I can give him is he's the only striker outside of Red Bull Salzburg and Legia Warsaw who managed to get the better of Virgil Van Dijk this season.

If Middlesbrough are tabling an offer of £1.7m, we're going to have to go to - what? - £2m or more, given that United don't want to seel to us? Çiftçi or Vossen for £2m? Or not even Vossen... someone who's banging in goals in a better league. Çiftçi might be 'a handful' but he's not prolific by any means. I want a goalscorer, not another player like Pukki, who's technically good but doesn't hit the back of the net nearly often enough (albeit he's more physical, more arrogant and more of a * :smiley-laughing002:).

I've been of that opinion from the start. I've always liked a * playing for us though.

Broony's a *, Griffiths is a *, John Hartson, Alan Thompson, Neil Lennon, Chris Sutton, Barry Robson, Paul Hartley were all *.

    We've had a procession of * and I've loved them all :56:
