I'd take him he offers a bit of steel and is a handful.

He is ideal for playing up top on his own too. Only thing is his temperament which would get targeted by players and the officials would love punishing him even more so if he pulled on the hoops.

He's young and worth the gamble.

Can see what your saying mate, but i would pass but if we do sign him £1m tops would be a fair price i think for someone with 12 months left on contract.

I dont think he has the right attitude to represent our club tbh. I would knock back players way more talented than him for the same reasons.

No chance Ronny would put up with his *, if we signed him now he would probably be sold before the end of the August transfer window.

Think he's a bit of a scumbag and I don't think he has the temperament to play for a club where you are under constant pressure to keep your cool on and off the field. Can imagine a character like his can't be good for the dressing room stability either

Got to laugh at all this when we have Leigh Griffiths as our current top striker.

What part is laughable? The fact we are linked with * like this or the fact people dont really rate him considering our lack of striking options?

I think he would be a good signing. He's shown plenty of quality at Dundee Utd and has plenty of room to improve. Sure, he is a bit of a hothead but if that can be channeled well it could help improve him and his game. There are many players in the world who have had temperament issues that have been "fixed" and there's at least one at our club currently.

If we can get him for a decent fee, I'd like it to be done.

Would be a great signing and give us a different dimension , one we desperately need to make us less predictable .

Turning dutd into a feeder club :smiley-laughing002:
Not for me. Don't think he offers better than what we have tbh. Seems really slow too, or am I imagining that ?

He's not lightning fast but certainly no slouch. I think he is quicker than Scepovic.

For those who haven't seen much of him.

He certainly has a nice touch of flair which we lack in the striker position, although I doubt if he were to sign he would be ahead of Griffiths and presuming we sign a another striker to go straight into the first 11, Seen fletcher's name branded about recently. I wouldn't be totally against signing him.

I want him here. Ronny is more than capable of kicking that nasty side out of him too.

Wouldn't mind a 3 of Griffiths, Fletcher and Ciftci rotating throughout the season. I've been dead against signing him in the past but that 3 would give us a bit of everything, come to think of it.

He'd need to sort himself out pronto though. The biting is disgusting.

Well you know what I was getting at but I'll say it anyway. I think Griffiths is/was more of a * than this guy ever was. Cifcti obviously has a temper, but the things Griffiths has done are worse in the sense that they weren't heat of the moment flash points.

Despite this, Griffiths has been widely accepted because he pulls on the hoops and does the business and it would be exactly the same with Ciftci.

Temper aside I think Ciftci is a better player than he's getting credit for. I think in all round build up play, he would be a better option than Griffiths. He's a different option at least. I'd like to see a striker that can bully defenders.

Maybe it's because he's the 3rd player were looking to get from dutd recently. If he was in the championship or a club from Spain I think more would want him here imo
