He was pish against St Johnstone. He has by no means been 'shocking in a few'.

75% of the time he's played well.

Delighted with Sviatchenko and Roberts is exciting.

Kazim could go * either way. I'm hoping his record is only * because he has spent the majority of his career out wide....I hope. If anything he will bring experience and a bit of character to a squad badly lacking both qualities. From what I have seen of him lately though he ain't anything too great.

I can't help but feel underwhelmed though. Maybe that's partly down to the weekend's result still being fresh however I was hoping we could have managed to get Ajer and Elyounoussi in along with a striker who had at least managed more than 50 career goals. :56:

We shall see what happens though. I'm kind of perplexed with alot of things regarding Celtic right now, anyway.

Don't really see it as a successful window, a bit like the Flood-gate, think we've definetely put another nail in the 'not qualify for CL' coffin.

Big Erik might do a job, we got a wee boy who will hardly feature and then probably * off in the summer and have now added Richards to Cole up front, when I'd rather have stuck with Cole and even gave Cifcti more of a run.

It's far from the Flood transfer window, far, far, far above that.

wouldn't say we have came out the window weaker but also not much stronger
And def no further forward being prepared for the CL qualifiers

Big Erik seems a player on the little we have seen. But with Jozo out for 6-8 weeks we r back to having a bomb-scare play next to him.
Dunno why the club couldn't of spent the money on someone of his quality before they went through the nonsense of buying boyata and blackett.

Whoever watched Man utd and blackett last year then decided to get him to the club should be fired. Im pretty confident it wasn't the coaching team .

We were crying of for a DM who just protects the CB and wins the ball. They way we use our full backs to attack we critically need this type of player in the squad mainly for European games. We failed to get this type of player.

We needed wingers who imo could create width. Needed players with a bit pace and skill so we weren't relying on our full backs as much as wee do and who could chip in with the goals.
We got a richards and roberts - better than nothing but not exactly what we wall wanted.
One was a free the other on loan - not exactly pushing the boat out.

    We needed cover/backup for leigh.
Did not come - so we go with cole.

    Big summer ahead i feel

Good to know we'll be playing in the CL next season, now the striking and defending has been sorted out in preparation for next season.

Where did I say that? :smiley-laughing002:

I said it's far * better than the Willo Flood season. That lost us the league. Do you believe this transfer window will cost us the league?

Clearly came out of the window stronger, Sunday's result obviously means it is reacted to differently by some than otherwise would have been.

It's the winter window, and while it's ideally the time we would bring in new blood with preparation for the CL in mind, it was never going to be much better than what it was.

Satisfied that we never went for short-term loans, disappointed we never got rid of some deadwood permanently but delighted that Nesbitt has went out to Thistle.

Good shout, should have added that too.

Another position that defo needs filled, there is not actually someone who can actually boss that area of the park and add strength, Brown is probably the best of a bad lot, but he's not exactly a great ball winner.

It's impossibel to lose the league in it's current state. I'm sure Ronny will give it a darn good go, but I can't even see him failing, I think him and Gary Neville together couldn't even lose it, so that's not really relevant.

We'll find out in the qualifiers when we get caught out with our skants down at our ankles.

I think that'll happen regardless with Ronny as manager, he hasn't shown himself anywhere near good enough at that level. Point stands though, I'd much rather have Roberts, Sviatchenko and Kazim-Richards over Willo Flood.

That lost us the league. This won't.

Agreed, we're unlikely to get a Wanyama again as he was just a superb find for us, but we need a player of that ilk who can mix it. Biton, whilst being technically good hasn't really got a nasty streak to him. As you say it's pretty much only Brown who has that side to his game, may account for some of the meek performances that we've seen.

The bottom line folks is that we can't judge the three new signings until we see them in action so it's hard to say if the transfer window was a success. Can't believe some of the negativity on here though, three signings in, none of the first team squad away. Two or three seasons ago we'd be cheering this.

Yeah he def is the best we have the now. But i don't feel he is actually a DM.

Its a position which doesn't seem it but is prob quite hard to play in. Need to be quite intelligent positional wise and have the ability to read the game and sniff out danger.
The issue has never been addressed since Big Vic was sold .

We also need winners brought into the team. People who like digging in.
Brown and Tierney aside we don't have anyone.
We need players that when we find ourselves a goal down , man down see it as a challenge and relish it.

To many in our team just don't seem that have the heart for a fight.

That's because most of the squad aren't all that good, so that's why no-one is away. Let's all be honest.

Half the debate on here is whether we should be selling guy's like Johansen who was the POTY last year for £5m, shows how poor our team is actually getting. Bitton was linked with a £3m to England, Rogic to Leeds, fkn Leeds!!!

Long gone are the £10m or thereabouts days we had recently. This is what happens when you continually downsize, it'll catch up soon enough and it's happening now, this is why there's more * getting brought in and loan deals have been mental of late.
