I like it, especially seeing Ledley picked in a more advanced position. The boy has so much ability, I think with his high anticipation and timing of his runs (real smart footballer), he could rattle up quite a few goals as an attacker in and around the penalty area.

    This.

However, the formation is obviously a lot more complicated than a simple 4-3-2-1. Mines would look a bit like this

    Forster

    .....Matthews........Rogne.... Mulgrew.......................
    ..................................................Izaguirre
    ..........................Wanyama..........................
    ..........Kayal..................Ledley
    Forrest................................................
    ..................Samaras
    Hooper...........

    • Hooper over Stokes due to Hooper's current form, though I'd be happy to see Stokes.
    • Rogne is my choice to partner Mulgrew while Majstorovic is out. Will be a good battle between they two when the Swede is back. Not a fan of Kelvin Wilson.
    • Lustig to battle with Matthews.
    • Ki and Brown can fill in for Wanyama or Kayal when either are injured.
    • This formation allows Ledley to cover for Izzy etc.

    Forster
    Matthews Wanyama Mulgrew Emilio
    Brown ---- Kayal ---- Ledley
    Forrest
    Hooper Stokes

Let Kayal play as a very deep lying midfielder, almost a 3rd centre half. Brown and Ledley can be the CM during attack with Matthews and Izzy as the width.

Forrest cuts in a shitload on the left as well, * all to do with Broony. Don't think it's a bad thing right enough.

Would love to see that team.

As well as weve done this season we still havent reached the levels of performance we did last season imo especially in terms of passing and movement, i think that lineup would bring us back to that level.

The difference is we've got loads of options(especially in midfield) and when the team changes it won't necessarily become weaker which is massive. And that's why our squad is far superior to anything else in Scotland.

The treble a realistic target for us. We don't need to needlessly strengthen in the Jan window it's about getting the right players in,right for the club in the long term.

Positivity and confidence= Celtic for the treble.:shamrock:

    My first 11

FORSTER-Looking like real find now hope we can make his move permanent.

IZZY-Best LB we've had in years, need cover for him tho!

MAJ- Was looking like a real leader before his injury and is ideal for SPL

MULGREW-One of my favourite players showed great character after shaky strart.

MATHEWS-Look a real find and with 4RB vying for one spot will need to stay on top of his game.

COMMONS-If he can get himself fit then he's the best we have in that position -arguably, with SAMMY as cover.

KAYAL-For me our most influential player and would be my captain.

WANYAMA- Another great find so solid and calm in possession. Love big VIC.

FORREST- Much more effective on the right and the most exciting prospect we've produced since Paul McStay.

HOOPER/STOKES- For me it's all about their partnership both better and more potent when playing with one another.

    Hail Hail.:shamrock:

I would put Ledley LM,had great partnership with Emilio there, and Wanyama in CM in his best position.

    Forster
    Matthews Mulgrew Rogne Izzy
    Forrest Kayal Wanyama Ledley
    Hooper Stokes

Didn't actually think about that! But now you say it, it does actually make sense. This season he has scored 4 goals, in 5 shots in the SPL and thats from positions like LM, LB and at times CM. As you said he is a very smart player, always times his runs well, does have a decent amount of pace and has a great left foot on him. Would also balance out having Forrest on one side who would be free to do what he liked on the right but Ledley would be a bit more disciplined and cover for Izzy really well.

I'm sure he has played as an attacking midfielder for Cardiff. Scored quite a few goals I think :50:
