Noah Donohoe was last seen cycling on his bike last sunday through Belfast city centre and then in North Belfast. The community has been out searching parks, forestry and buildings etc. Noah a Catholic was reported as being seen fall off his bike and possibly had head injuries. The Police found his bike, clothes and phone abandoned in the middle of the street in a loyalist area, they couldn’t find his North Face jacket or laptop that was in his bag. Another report said they seen the child cycling naked at 6pm Sunday evening. As of yesterday Noah’s backpack and laptop turned up in a place that had already been searched. Social media last night reported that the North Belfast UVF had issued a statement for a person of interest to turn themselves into the police. All started sounding a bit fishy.
In the last hour Noah’s body was found concealed by a bush and in a storm drain at the rear of a train station workhouse. No reports as yet but someone connected to an investigating Police officer has said the 14 year old was left naked and beaten to death. A similar incident happened only 4/5 weeks ago at the same spot where another young catholic 15 year old was attacked by a group of Protestant teenagers and also on a Sunday around 6.30pm. He was lucky to escape with a fractured skull, head split wide open and his bike and possessions robbed from him. All too much of a coincidence and the fact that Noah was Catholic and of mixed race would definitely set him out for attack in the same loyalist area. We have been sitting on the edge awaiting any news all week and praying for a hopeful outcome but as things seem to progress in Belfast, some are still locked into sectarian bigotry. RIP Noah.

This is a report from previous attack.

A 15 year old boy has been assaulted while riding on his bike in North Belfast yesterday evening, in what police are calling a 'hate crime.'

Inspector McCullough said, “Just after 6.35pm yesterday evening (Sunday 10 May 2020), police received a report that a 15 year old male, who had been cycling along the Limestone Road, was approached and attacked by a male dressed in grey, who was walking a boxer type dog.

“A number of other young people then joined the assault, with one hitting the 15 year old on the head causing a large cut, before throwing him from his bicycle, stealing it and also his iPhone 8.

“This was an appalling attack carried out in broad daylight on a single young male by a group of people. I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, which is also being treated as a hate crime, or who has seen the stolen, distinctive blue and white Carrera bicycle with black wheels, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1835 of 10 May 2020.”

I think everybody was hoping he was just missing at the start but as the days wore on it seemed inevitable he was dead. The murder side of it wasn’t even mentioned until last night.

I hadn’t realised the situation either.

There are a lot of circumstances that contradict that. Why would his body be in a storm drain? I live literally 5 mins walk away from where he was found and pass it 4/5 times a day. It is a main thoroughfare and it is owned by NI Rail. It’s a sleeper station for trains and a repair workshop. You don’t just dander in there. There will be video evidence of some sort. Cops are definitely playing this down atm.
