    Celtic will land former West Brom star Youssouf Mulumbu on a two-year deal – and the signings won’t stop there.

    The Scottish champions beat off competition from Swansea and Bordeaux as well as a number of other clubs to capture the former Premier League midfielder.
    Mulumbu starred for Kilmarnock last season after joining the Rugby Park side in November as a free agent.

    He even scored against Celtic in February as Killie stunned Brendan Rodgers’ men at Rugby Park.

    Mulumbu, 31, will be Rodgers’ fifth signing of the summer following the £9m deal for Odsonne Edouard, Daniel Arzani on loan, Scott Bain from Dundee and the return of Emilio Izaguirre.

    And it’s understood more is to come.

    Rodgers still wants a centre-back while Moussa Dembele’s future remains in the balance as Lyon attempt to lure the striker back to France.

    If true probably not a bad short term move. However I am curious how he ended up at Killie, surely he could have got more just going to League 1?

    he's a good player. We're so * wide open against good teams it's unreal. He can be useful for us.

    It's clear kouassi won't be trusted often, so it'd be a worthwhile signing.

    Midfield has been the least of my priorities but this is indeed a smart signing. It wont appeasr anyone tho. We need a centre back, a right back and a striker.

    Yes it’s another free signing but he was superb for Kilmarnock last season. You could tell he was a level above the rest of them.

    Happy to get him in but there is more a lot more work needing done. Defence is still the priority.
