I think he is a player with some potential but right now he doesn't have the sort of experience to be thrown into things. We need to get a stable defence as we prepare for the CL.

Maybe later in the season a player like him will get more games against weaker teams - if he's still here, of course lol

suttonstheman if thats your attitude dont bother ever bother coming back to parkhead you *. gordon has done a great job with limited resources + the number of players that have left parkhead since mons departure as apposed to the number coming back in has been incredible and we still won the leauge by a country mile and also won the leauge cup.

i am sick of ingreats like you slagging off the wee man when there is no cause for it i remember last season when i came back from the motherwell 4-4 game at fir park the number of people i talked to after that game that wanted him sacked was outragous i told them all that he needed at least 2 full seasons in the job to turn things around what he has done in such a short space of time is nothing short of remarkable so all you doubters of wee gordon shut up and show the man some respect.

Agreed, this season is make or break for GS. His honeymoon period is over.

 

All you have to do is read some of the quotes from the article on Strachans book in the Record. He was managed under Alex Ferguson for a good chunk of his career and has come out and said he was verbally tortured by the man. Ok GS might go on to say he didnt like some of the abuse he got, but Fergies track record as a manager says it all.

This kind of man management, being strict with players, being assertive etc. is essential for a successful manager imo. Strachan fining these bhoys £10 a minute is far from unfair and keeps the bhoys in check.

And for the record, Strachan has done a * hot job so far considering his resources, anybody who doesnt see this has no clue about football

I was being cynical. Thats exactly what I said if you read my post #32 on page 2 of this thread. Neverwalkalone said that he never had a honeymoon period which is why I wrote that comment.
