What planet are you from, if you believe that a persons opinions and loyalties are not formed long before becoming a journalist, referee or even a bus driver, in childhood, which you will probably hold throughout your entire life. If you believe this not to be the case you definitely don't live in the same insane world as I have experienced. Sad but true my friend, basic psychology, you are what your parents make you. Not everything in this world can be explained by Capitalism. If you're a bigot it will come through naturally and if you're surrounded by bigots who will ever be objective enough to tell you where you are going wrong whatever the cost to you or your organisation, as you seem to believe money is the only motivation.

I'm from planet reality mate. You ignore the point that those who own the newspapers and dictate its editorial policies are not the ones writing the stuff you feel is biased. In business money is the the prime motivation - that is a fact. I am tired of the same old "they are all against us" mantra. Celtic get lots of good press too.

 

Agreed. If there was one paper that was specifically Rangers biased then another one would take up a Celtic position to maximise paper sales. Journalists write what they are told to write. If they are quicker to claim there is a crisis at CP than Ibrox then that's good, it means we have higher standards than they do.

But the original topic was WGS's response to a journalist's question about Elvis. As my dear old Grandmother used to say, "manners don't cost a thing". I'd prefer it if WGS could answer questions in a polite manner rather than spitting out the dummy.

 

A healthy dose of reality there fella. And I agree re Strachan. I can understand that he doesn't have time for the press but when you are manager of a club as big as Celtic you have to deal with the press and that's it. It would be better to deal with the press in a positive manner because these stupid responses he gives are seen all over the world by people who don't know the full story and give a bad impression of Celtic. Also if you play your cards right you can use the press to the club's advantage. Strachan's behaviour is not clever and does Celtic no favours.

Given the deths of drivel at best and down right crap and lies the media in general spew out about Celtic, individual players and Strachan himself I don't see what the problem is.

 

if you had to talk to these fools every day youd be a smart * to i think he dead right it stops stupid needless questions and he has always been like that i watch him on celtic tv he is a gentleman and after matches when he is asked about the actual football he answers with plenty of dignity its the stupid questions he gets annoyed with.
