I don't think that's correct. I think Tony Mowbray was impressed with what Fortune'e did for him at WBA and that's why he holds him in high regard.

So it was just a coincidence the team and strikers especially stopped playing well after Strachan started arguing with his players?

We'll have agree to disagree on that one then, I think it was a huge influence.

Do you remember that they all suffered injuries last season which kept them out of action for at least a month each?

Were they scorely freely? I dont think they were, we were grinding out results for large periods before christmas. Hesselink went 6 months without a goal, Samaras became completely inconsistent and McDonald didnt play well since being out with that virus.

We drew 2 games too many, thats what cost us last season.

Where is your proof that the dressing room was lost? McGeady isnt the dressing room.

Your memory of last season is very different to mine.

We missed far more chances the 2nd half of last season than we did the 1st 5 months, that can't be disputed.

The team just didn't function nearly as well after January, thus the poor results.

What proof can I possibly show? I am only told by sources (Sound like a newspaper here) that a lot of players had simply had enough of Strachan after the feud, which divided the dressing room. It isn't that unrealistic is it?

I'll have my opinion and you have yours. :50:

We should give Mowbray more time. Xmas transfer window and we decide then.

The Mowbray haters need to get a grip and stop being so impatient. Get rid of Mowbray now then another manager comes in a has to buy and sell so he can build his own team then we end up back in the exact same position. Brilliant idea lads!!!

Mowbray was a success at Hibs and could put together a team that gubbed a better rangers side at ibrox but now he's a * manager.

look im fed up with him! some of the things he does with tactics and substitutions etc is strange at times, he stands on that sideline with the dumbest glaeckitest(lol spelling) on his coupan and it * anoys me stupid.

now we do have another of game(but whats the point we will get * from the ref fo a forth time:87:) and we do have the sfa cup to go for. will we win that? atm i dont think we will tbh? but if he does win it and beats the huns? then i reckon the percentage of people who wants him out may give him a little more time next season and wait and see what players he will bring in to boot.

That Huns side went on a record-breaking run of 11 games without a win and finished behind Hearts mate. His 'success' at Hibs was vastly overrated, finished 3rd on goal difference then 4th with the best set of young players probably in the SPL's history.

Regarding the players, a better manager would get far more out of them. As mentioned, 4 of the starting 11 are loans so we have to rebuild anyway.

What has he done to deserve more time? Diddly-squat.

I'm just looking for signs of vast improvements over the coming games, if we get a run together then yes he should stay. I'm not sure how much of an improvement it would be to change the manager just now, the new guy will want to get rid of a lot of players and bring in his own and I doubt we have the finance to afford another complete overhaul. It may become a necessity if next season also starts poorly but I'm still willing to give him a chance just now.

If we win every game from now until the end of the season I'd begin to believe in him again, as that would be an outstanding achievement.

He changed far to much to soon, that caused alot of the problems. Things take time to settle, Mowbray could be the same. I also don't think changing managers just now would do any favours as the new gaffer would want to do what Mowbray has done, and built his own team.

Only thing we can do is give Mowbray another season.

Is Tony's time up? Maybe Paul Lambert is the secret Jose of Celtic

After less than a year since Tony Mowbary took over he has been a complete success at Celtic (if your a rangers fan). He wasted us 3 million in his transfer from West brom, he has sold our best goal scorer since Henrik in Scott Mcdonald, and he has also dropped our attendance's from around 60,000 to 50,000. After all the hard work that Martin & Gordon put in over the last decade, Tony has decided that we are a club that needs a major overall but he is the only man in the world that believes this.

So my question is why dont we give Paul Lambert a go?. He has a short record in management but is already providing signs of being a success. If we are rebuilding a new team then why not take a young manager to assist with the process. Paul served under O'Neill and I belive he has almost taken the same steps as Martin off Brian Clough in that he has picked up the great points of being a sucessful manager but also stamped his own mark on it.
